Default Best bottled water for cleaning the Vette?

Okay, I'm not really using bottled water to clean the Vette, but at the total I've run up for waxes and towels and so on, my wife thinks that bottled water is the next step. :jester

But to at least give this post some value, I just found the softest towels I've ever felt at Bed Bath & Beyond...Much softer than the Fieldcrest...They're called Seduction Grand Patrician, 19.99 for a bath-sized one, it's 100% cotton (BUT made in India), parent company is WestPoint Stevens. I haven't tried it out yet, still waiting on my Zaino order, but it sure seems like it'll be pretty nice...

There are some Reverse Osmosis 'filtration' systems that can attachments to your hose.

My vote would be for distilled water - no chance of it leaving water spots. :jester

Pellegrino, con gas.

No matter what, stay away from Evian or Apollonaris. They leave too much residue. You'll be disappointed.

R/O'ed Water.. huh??? Great Idea! (Grin) :jester

You should use Perrier or Evian water, but have Jack Daniels re-distill it for you to remove impurities.

oldace84,

I must've been tired yesterday. I just use regular well water. If I ever get water spots, I use Windex and a soft cotton towel to remove.

If those towels are from India either burn them or wrap them around your head. You couldn't give me anything from India. We already gave up a few hundred thousand jobs.(sorry this really belongs in Off Topic).

anyone having had chemistry in college will remember that vinegar will remove hard water spots. I believe the ratio was an ounce to a gallon of water.....might have even been as high as 4:1 water to vinegar. I'm sure it's on the web somewhere.
