Default Great shine part two

Red 62 vette, paint is only a year old. The vette is stored in a garage. I tried 5 coats of z-5 and it did help reduce some of the scratches. It also remove some of the scratches. The shine is great. What would you recommend as a next step for the scratches I can still see. These scratches are hard to see in certain light, however I am trying to get the wow factor. I am currently working on one fender of the vette. Thank you for the advice and tips!

It sounds like some of your scratches are too deep for Z-5, I would suggest 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover, if it's just a few areas you can do this by hand, if the areas are large then buffer is best.

Or just keep adding Z-5 to the area with scratches and gradually fill them in. I did that with a scratch through the clear but not the color base.

Thanks for the information. I think the z-5 will work on most of the scratches, however the few that it doesn't what steps would I use. After I use 3M do I need to wash the area in dawn before applying z-2 or can I apply z-2 over 3M.

I would because the 3M has some oil that should be removed for best adhesion. :)
