Has anyone tried Harbor Freight pads head to head
OK, so we all badmouth Harbor Freight pads and love our favorite "name brand" pads.
My go-to pads have been Meguiar's since they gave me two one-day detailing classes.
But has anyone taped a hood and done a head-to-head comparison between their favorite brand pad and Harbor Freight?
I'd be shocked if my 6 inch pads cost more than $1.50 to manufacture and package. Are we getting hosed?

I have never done a comparison, as I don't see any reason to. On the Harbor Freight site. 6" foam pads are $5.99 each, and they only have 3 pads available. If you buy from Autogeek, you can get 5.5" Lake Country and Buff & Shine pads for $6.99 each without any type of sale code applied. AG always runs a sale, and if you buy packs of pads, they are discounted even more. You also have more pad choices.

I agree with FYRARMS, Autogeek has every pad for every specialized use you can want. Lake Country is the most popular with different color pads for different applications which makes it easy to keep track of which pad to use. Autogeek has sales all the time but wait for the 20 to 25% off and free shipping. Go the their website and entertain yourself for hours looking at all the detail equipment and supplies they handle. I have never had any issues with them what so ever. They also have a technical team that can answer questions and direct you to the best products for your application.

Sometimes saving a buck can lead to later regrets... there are some things you just don't want to go cheap...

Perfect answer, never, ever look for cheap pads, in fact this is the one place you need to spend big bux on the best. Somethings you can go a lower cost on but pads are not one of them. Same with the compund, buy the absolute best you can afford with the best reviews.

They just opened a Harbor Freight, 10 minutes from the house Grand Opening Saturday with 20% coupon.
So I checked them out and bought all grades for my buffer, haven't used them yet.
They carried two type, took the higher end.
I hope they do a good job!
