It says let it dry to a haze then wipe off. Did you let it dry and then wipe off immediately or let it dry over an hour, two hours, three or overnight, more than.......
Any horror stories because waited too long? And how long was that?

Like most carnauba waxes, just do the "finger test". If you can wipe the wax off the paint with your finger, it is ready to be removed with your microfiber towels. I apply wax using a Porter Cable, and by the time I finish applying it to the entire car, I move right to removing it with towels where I started applying it. So, maybe 20 or 30 minutes.

Sorry, let me be more direct, is there any advantage for keeping it on any longer? Before wiping it off?

Well that wax is a hybrid with carnuba and polymers in it. Carnuba by nature is rock hard. It must be used in a small proportion and held in suspension ( carrier fluid). This is what needs to flash off before wiping ( polymer sealants on the other hand just need to make contact.to bond ( even though these can be wiped off right away the chemical cross link can take 12-24 hrs to fully form).
Once the carrier has flashed off there is zero benefit to leaving the wax on. The key to this and any wax or sealant or combination thereof is to apply thin-thin-thin and evenly. Once applied depending on condition swipe a test spot with your microfiber towel ( approx 350gsm is best for wax /sealant removal ). it should come off cleanly. if so you are ready. Fold you towel into quarter's wipe a section. With 'nuba's the towel will remove some as well as any filler's or inert carrier left so do a panel or 2 and go to a clean quarter. Do a second wipe with a fresh towel. If any spots prove to be stubborn-a little spritz with some QD with remove and your good to go

Never seen any benefit to leaving it on. I let it barely get dry and then get it off.

No advantage whatsoever. Actually it may be worse as you will have to exert more effort to remove it possibly inducing imperfections.
