Default Tire dressing/gel that outperforms Endurance?

I've used Meguiars Endurance gel for many years because it lasts, locally avail, and it's inexpensive. However, no method of application and/or dry time will prevent sling on the paint and the brown dirt that collects on the tires after a couple of weeks. Not a fan of the high gloss/wet look, but this can me managed with a towel or less product.

Are any of these higher end products much different or better? I've used a couple of these brands before but usually for wax
- Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel
- GYEON Q2M Tire
- Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel

I can't speak for any of those products, but have had great success with Four Star Tire Dressing and Surf City Garage Beyond Black Tire Gel. Both leave a nice satin look on the tire that appeals to me, probably less glossy than Meg's endurance.

Just a side question, have you tried applying the endurance, then wiping the tire with a microfiber towel after to remove all the excess material? That worked well for me on similar dressings in the past.

I'll check those out!

That's the process I use with Endurance, but never tried a microfiber towel on tires......just cotton. I even let it sit overnight after wiping off excess and still no luck. it will sling for days and get worse throughout the week. Really ruins a freshly waxed or polished car

All I use is water-based tire dressings, as they dry quickly, don't sling, and it is easy to adjust the level of shine. I have tried a few different brands, but all I really use now is "Opti-Bond". The consistency is between a gel and a liquid. Almost like a cream. I apply it with a tire dressing foam sponge. Just one coat gives a dark satin shine with no greasy look. Seems to last pretty well for me. Just another awesome product from Optimum Polymer Technologies. I love soooo much of their stuff.

The Opti-Bond is almost as durable as Endurance, with the Meg's lasting a bit longer. However, no sling, no petroleum, and just less mess.

The Opti Bond looks like a strong contender with a nice price point. Excellent reviews on Amaz0n and AutoGeeks. Also dillutable for a spray action on trim. Definitely going to try this one!

You will NOT be disappointed. If you try it and don't like it, I will buy the bottle from you. Seriously.

A little goes a lonnnng way, too. For $16, you get a big bottle. You really can't go wrong with anything from Optimum. They run a couple FB pages and directly interact with customers, sharing tips and tricks, and discussing products in detail. Great bunch of guys from Canada!

A few years ago at detail fest, i saw what I thought was the best looking tire product I'd ever seen. It dried quick to a deep satin sheen with a warm black color.

It was an optimum product, though I think it's been replaced since then. i didnt buy any at the time, as I was a broke college kid, and it was pricey.

That definitely may have been their older "Tire Shine", which they still sell. It is a water-based spray instead of a gel. The Opti-Bond has been out for a while now, and they just released another new tire product as well. It is a tire "coating" that lasts reeeeeally long. Such a cool company. HQ is in TN, and the marketing guy that does all the demo videos and runs social media is in Canada.

303 Aerospace is awesome. It is what I use on my dash and door panels in all my vehicles. I use it on the exterior black trim of the Z06, too (cowl, wiper arms, hood seals, rear brake ducts, window moldings, etc.)

303 even has Wipes - like the Lysol wipes.

FYI - AutoGeeks has 25% off and free shipping thru Saturday. Two days after I placed my order with 10% off and I paid shipping.

Autogeek had a 25% off sale last week, with $5.95 shipping. I waited to see if they would do better, and sure enough, 25% off and free shipping today. LOL! Placed a small order for some random stuff I needed.

You must have an old bottle. "DP" has been "McKee's37" since 2016 or so. They still make the gel, but the formula has been improved a lot. Much less greasy in appearance now.

Yes, probably bought it 5 yrs ago when I had a 911, then there was a gap of no car worthy of tire dressing. 32 oz bottle, lasts a long time. I'll get the McKee's next. Very happy with the DP.

McKee's37 is top of the heap. I know a few pro detailers that use almost everything they offer. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for!
