Default Oxidation and Clay Bar

I'm having a problem with oxidation on my rear deck...It might be original
(1971) in this area....would clay bar take away the cloudiness ?

It may help but probably will not take care of the problem, you will need a mild abrasive product depending on how bad the oxidation is, something like 3M Hand Glaze or Scratch and Swirl Remover.

hrmm 1971.. its probably on the old style paint with no clearcoat.

using an abrasive polish like hcvone mentioned will probably help clean it up.

oh and try not to use the claybar unless the oxidation is mild... otherwise you'll get the claybar too loaded with dirt too fast and need a new one after this job.

I need a new one after every job. No way am I going to use a claybar on more than one vehicle. It always looks terrible when I'm through.

I have saved some pieces of one and use them for touchups on the inner fender areas but no way would I use a used claybar on my hood!
