What is glaze??

Can somebody tell me the application or use for "glaze" like the 3M Hand Glaze or Megiars Show Car Glaze.

it's use is before wax - it adds shine. it isn't very durable, it's mostly oils, etc. :seeya

I thought it was to help reduce light swirl marks, etc. I used it before I used Megiars #26 wax for an incredible shine.

It will help reduce the appearance of light swirls because it fills them with a thin skin of oils and wax. Great for a show car but does not have much durability unless you top it with something like #26.

If you are really looking to reduce the swirls, try the 3M and a Porter Cable.

i thought glazes were just put on top of the car

it is mostly oils and stuff that reduce the appearance of swirls, give a nice shine, and just make your car paint look fresh off the lot.

the only thing is that it doesnt last and will probably attract dirt like a fly and dog poop :lol:
