Default INTERIOR CLEANING

I have a 96 LT4 black on black and the interior is really a !#@ to clean.
I use a mild soap and water to clean the interior now, but ive read on the forum in this section that soap can dry out the leather seats.

question: what can you use to clean the black interior and not dry out the seats ...and also to take out the mild scuff marks on the door panels and oil from your fingers, that just doesnt seem to come out with soap and water. Any ideas?

What do you guys you to condition and clean the leather seats?

any help is greatly appreciated.. thanks :)
vr,
volt

My customers use Zaino Z-9 Leather cleaner to clean all inside panels and then use Z-10 Leather Conditioner to condition all panels, leather seats and all.

There are many manufacturers who produce cleaning and conditioning products for leather. Unless you use the car every day, you shouldn't have to "clean" the leather all that often. What you should be doing, however, is making sure it's conditioned!! The leather used in Corvettes seems to be less than the best...I've seen many fairly new Corvettes with the leather cracking, especially on the seat bolsters. I recently sold my '88 convertible, and the leather seats were still in incredible shape...I can only attribute that to a lot of conditioning!

The trick to really getting the seats clean using something like Z9 (my favorite leather cleaner, BTW) is to agitate it with a soft brush after spraying it on. Then spray on a little more and wipe the seats off with a soft cotton towel.

After that, put on good leather conditioner often. You should clean the seats at least once a year, more often if it's not a garage queen. And I condition with something (either Zaino or 303) at least once a month.
