I've been detailing enthusiast since I was 18. Many friends and family members ask me to wash and or detail their vehicles. Their biggest complaint is how long it takes them even for a simple wash.

Anyways, here's my 17 yo truck that spent its entire life outdoors.

Iron X remover, clay bar, Menzerna Sp3500, Blackfire wet diamond sealant. Occasionally gets touched up with Griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray and sometimes McKee's 37 hydro blue after a wash.

Here Is My Secret Sauce....For Extremely High GLOSS!!

Brian From APEX Detail used this on his prized possession BLACK C 7.

Brian said Car was Coated with TAC Systems ??????
AND then he talks about:using these (on top of the coating ?????)

1) GYEON Can Coat
2) Polish Angel High Gloss
3) Extreme Solution LVR357 "the cherry on top"

I have no way to communicate with Brian
I am curious as to if the LVR357 is similar
to TAC SYSTEMS Shinnee Wax

First time Ive heard of Anyone Using another product
on top of Polish Angel High Gloss.......

Hello Chuck, I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend.

The video can be a little confusing if you are trying to figure out what is on Brian's C7, especially if you've seen his other videos from that relative time frame - about a 3 month span

Here is what I remember and the time frame:

To start with, around mid December, Brian's Black C7 is ceramic coated with TAC's pro level and finest coating "Climax".

Before he recorded the secret sauce video you attached - Brain topped his C7 (which at that time was recently coated with Climax) with TAC 1 Step Master. There is a video on that
That video came out at the end of December.

In the Secret Sauce video (which came out in early March) he doesn't apply anything to his C7 in the video - only a test panel! He applies the products you mentioned in your original post. He talks about stacking products to get the best gloss.

In early January, I had just gotten my car back from being coated with Modesta Glass BC-05 and BC-06. Car show season was about to start here in SoFla and I wanted to put together a system of durable, high level protection and mind blowing gloss and radiance. About that time, I began discussions with Brian about the "stacking cocktail" I was considering after viewing his favorable review of TAC 1 Step. Since I was very interested in 1 Step, I went back and studied the products that TAC makes and realized that Brian had reviewed Shinee back in Sep of 2019 - and that too got stellar reviews. I realized that Shinee would play very well with 1 Step but would not last long at all. I was also wanting to use something with TiO2 in it since it intrigued me and none of the products I've used before contained Titania, and I'm a pathetic PolishAngel fan boi! So I thought I would be able to combine all of them together for one big gloss explosion. I discussed all this with Brian and he told me that he had never used that combination of products before and he was very interested to see how (if at all) they would play together. And that was the birth of my Holy Trinity of Gloss.

I started using these products and Brian asked me to keep him in the loop - to see how it was working out. I told him that they all appeared to be playing well together and I sent him some photos from a few shows, shows where I was fortunate to bring home some Top 10 finishes. Brain was impressed with the stack and asked me if I would mind if he were to use my car in one of his videos. I was not only surprised, but honored to say yes, of course you can. At about 13 minutes into the secret sauce video, he was kind enough to mention me and my car and he uploaded a few photos for the rest of the public to view. When he mentions he has a friend with a similar concoction, he is talking about the one I put together after our conversations and his guidance and opinions - 1 Step, PA HG and Shinee.

When you say you "First time I've heard of Anyone Using another product on top of Polish Angel High Gloss" I'm confused because I've mentioned this in a bunch of my posts that you've read and we've discussed . I've even uploaded a photo of it, so I don't know what to tell you.

When I saw the Secret Sauce video I too wanted to know about Xtreme 357 magnum wax. If I remember correctly, Brian mentioned that it has some amazing gloss capabilities and perhaps had some very slight filling capability- almost like an old school polymer glaze might have. I'm sorry I'm not entirely sure I remember all the details, but safe to say, it is indeed on my "must try" list.

So in closing, I don't know exactly what he's currently got on his C7. Assuming he did not remove it or it wore off already, there would still be 1 Step on there for sure. I know he's been playing around with graphene based products from Art De Shine - namely the graphene detail spray and Crystal Wax, so I suspect that is what is on there now.

I hope this helped answer some of your questions.

Finally finished the complete car, decided to get some Sonax Cutmax and did more of a two stage. The one shot is the completed passenger rear fender and the door before I touched it, very happy with the final results for my first attempt at this.🙂

I used the Griot's Garage G8 3" & G9, swapped out the 6" backing plate for a 5" on the G9. I used the Lake Country Hybrid Force Pad System - Orange cutting pad with the Sonax and the Lake Country Hybrid Force Pad System - White polishing pad with the 3D one. then finished withe the Jescars
I also bought some URO-FIBER 5" pads but never use them. Do you recommend the Beadmaker as a finishing layer???

@b_rad! How do you like the Griots mini DA?

I should be polishing the daily sometime this week, or next week. 2002 xjr 100. If ok with you guys, I'll post some before and afters. Vette needs some mechanical work.

Being no expert and nothing to compare to I really liked the 6" G9 but if found the 3" G8 to stall to easy if the pad was not totally flat. It did performed better when you would max it out to level 6...less stalling.
I would like to buy a 3" rotary to replace the G8 3".
