Default Are you all Zaino Zombies???

Zaino this, Zaino that. I swear Zaino must include a mind control drug in each bottle it sells that is absorbed into your skin when you are polishing!!

I will put up the shine on my Vette with 3 coats of Liquid Glass to any of your 5 coat Zaino shines. And I can have mine done in half the time and half the effort.

I've seen your pictures of Zaino shined cars, and I am also thinking that Zaino also includes a vision blurring drug in their stuff.

Maybe a little less caffeine would be a good idea. We all like what we like. Nothing personal.

Yes it is the pleasant fruit smell that turns us into Zaino Zombies. Each to their own.

Zaino is good stuff, just like most of the other polished and waxes. The reason why I like it is it's endurance. I polished my car once so far this season and have driven it 6K miles since then.

Excellent post! They are!
Some how this board has been captured by hcvone, KLO, and a few other Zaino Distributors! They immediately attack anyone not using Zaino and insert themselves as experts. They make claims against the other products with out verifiable proof and foundation. They tell you they have these Lab reports. Has anyone seen them. From what lab? Is one lab a representative sample, conclusive? They claim to have untold expierences and have been the owner of numerous paint shops, body shops, and even book writers. The best part of the internet is you can be anyone or anything you want to be.
The thing that really bothers me is there is NO discussion here. This board is DEAD, with the exception of someone telling us what a GREAT guy Yada yada yada, his Zaino distrbutor, is.
Wanna know what's really up? Zaino is just not the greatest product. But, many of us have too much time (coats) and costs invested to change. It can only be removed, supposedly, with alcohol. Not a fun job. The truth is buried here, somewhere. Zaino is not used in industry therefore no MSDS. No one really knows what's in it. Zaino has not contested the fact that there is 11% Mineral Spirits (Paint Remover) in the product.
The Zombie part. What makes anyone think that a coupla brothers from Howell, New Jersey reinvented car care as we know it. See, it's not just one product it's Z-1 through Z-26 all of which is the best of the best regardless if it's dashboards, wheels, or windshields. Ain't none better. Yet there are many problems looming out there. "Greasy" extrerior Winshields, difficult to remove bugs and tar, loss of shine and slickness after several coats. There are other problems. How can any company invent the best of everything for your car from paint to tires? Think about it!
Now, I say fine....You like it then by all means Use it. But hey, lets allow some other discussion/s here with out some Zaino Distributor Drone cutting off the discussion. We might just learn something from each other. I have a fellow vette owner that just did Liquid Glass. Very impressive!
This BBS is free access to all and should be, but maybe the Zaino distributors should take a bit of a break. Let's remove some of the "commercialism" in here. Let's get some new blood and new ideas in here without running them off. Let's discuss CAR CARE.

Regards and Best Wishes to all,
Decon

While I agree that some people push Zaino and only Zaino when there are several other perfectly good products, here are some reasons why I think Zaino is better than at least 98% of other products, and I've tried many, including carnaubas and Liquid Glass.

They all shined well, but not quite as much as Zaino. Will most people ever notice the difference, probably not, but I do, and many others certainly do. This is a place for all to be free to speak their minds, and most of those minds like Zaino. Is every Zaino product better than every other variant? Of course not. One Zaino distributor, Carl will always say use what you like best. I agree, and I like Zaino best. :seeya

Hi, my name is Jim and I'm a Zaino Zombie :).

No, seriously, there are those like me who prefer the hi-gloss, dipped in glass look that Zaino provides. And there are those who prefer the warmth and depth that a quality carnuba provides. Achieving the look you want is a personal thing and more important than what you use.

Unfortunately, there are those who don't accept this. You post a good picture of a car done in a carnuba and rather than getting compliments you get the usual "won't last" (with the number of coats most Zombies have on this is almost comical) and a bunch of "Zaino is better", "Zaino is the best I've ever used" type posts. People just don't realize that the Zaino shine is different and some may prefer something else.

.....Can't we all just get along.

I prefer to think of Zaino as addicting substance more like crack, rather than a potion to turn us into Zombies....

Seriously, I do like Zaino, that is my preference. Use what you like on your own car. After all it is YOUR car, not ours. Arguing about what is best won't solve anything or convince anyone. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these products.

Another Zaino Zombie checking in...

When I first came onto this board, I also read Zaino this, Zaino that. Being a bit perturbed by all this Zaino talk, I found it insulting to my own preferences.

After some time, (about a year) I thought ok, I'll give it a try and now I'm also convinced that the product lives upto the hype. You'll never know unless you try for yourself.

BTW: I don't agree with 'ALL' Zaino products as being the best. I've had some mediocre results with some. But the ones that make my car shine its best, are the best!!

I've been using Zaino products now for over two years and I really don't see a change in my preference anytime in the future, although I am open to discussions of other products.

I use Wax Shop and LOVE it. Ive used it for a decade now on assorted cars and swear by it. I used the Wax Shop Safe Cut polish tonite on my '91. The paint is almost perfect...amazingly good for a '91 actually. The targa top and passenger side mirror housing were the only places showing the slightest bit of haze (plus the expected rock chips on the hood and very minor clear coat peel here and there). After using Safe Cut it looked, and this is NO :bs , it looked at least as good as the original new factory paint. I dont know...maybe its the fumes from it but Ive never seen anything as easy to use and as beautiful a shine as Wax Shop products.

Why are some guys up in arms about Zaino??

If you like it, use it, if you don't like it, use something else.

Its that simple...

No one is going to blast someone for NOT using Zaino, or for using any other product...

Its OUR car, we use what WE like.

Like I'm really gonna use what some guy thinks I should use on MY car.

I may TRY a product, but the bottom line is, use what you feel works best on your own car...

Blasting someone for favoring a particular product is juvenile, and useless, since that guy ain't gonna switch, no matter what you say.

This board is for people to post on what they use, like or dislike.
If you agree or disagree, you can post why, for others to read.

But the bottom line is to use what YOU like on YOUR car...

Damn, I should be a moderator!

Oh, and DON'T ask me what I use on MY car, cause its a secret, and I want to beat you all at shows, so I'm not tellin! :p:

Use what you want. I have been very pleased with the results that I have achieved from zaino and will continue to use it. Sure they are going to say their product is the best. Who doesn't? You expect them to tell you than product 'b' is better than ours, go buy it instead?

I don't know where Conroe, TX is, but I am in the Plano, McKinney area in north dallas, and would love to put my car shine up against yours. However, we shouldn't test on looks alone. Looks alone have tons of aspects such as shine, depth, and clarity (Which wax does give a yellow slightly yellow tint). Slickness, smoothness, durabilty, etc. I would love to put it up against yours. Ease of application is worse for Zaino the first application, but after that, it is easier to apply than liquid Glass. e-mail me and we will meet up somewhere (if you are near).

Excellent post!
No points were made, but since he agrees with you, it is automatically "excellent"

Some how this board has been captured by hcvone, KLO, and a few other Zaino Distributors! They immediately attack anyone not using Zaino and insert themselves as experts.
Can you give an example where they "attacked" someone?

True.

The thing that really bothers me is there is NO discussion here. This board is DEAD, with the exception of someone telling us what a GREAT guy Yada yada yada, his Zaino distrbutor, is.
I, too think that the great transaction posts are a waste and should be locked because they are nothing more than advertisement. Car care should be about products, not people.

Wanna know what's really up? Zaino is just not the greatest product. But, many of us have too much time (coats) and costs invested to change. It can only be removed, supposedly, with alcohol.
Actually, any wax will remove it (slight abrasives)

The truth is buried here, somewhere. Zaino is not used in industry therefore no MSDS. No one really knows what's in it. Zaino has not contested the fact that there is 11% Mineral Spirits (Paint Remover) in the product.
That is interesting, never heard of it. I will ask Sal next time I talk to him about it and post his reply.

The Zombie part. What makes anyone think that a coupla brothers from Howell, New Jersey reinvented car care as we know it. I think their paint, tire, and leather care are top line. I use other products for glass, vinyl, plastic, etc. They just offer other ways to use the products so that you don't have to buy more than 1 product. Z-10 isnt made for vinyl, but can be used on it if you want to only use 1 product instead of 2, etc.

Now, I say fine....You like it then by all means Use it. But hey, lets allow some other discussion/s here with out some Zaino Distributor Drone cutting off the discussion. We might just learn something from each other. I have a fellow vette owner that just did Liquid Glass. Very impressive!
Anytime you make a post about another product, I will read it. I don't even read the "tried zaino, Im hooked" posts anymore. I only reply to posts that ask for help, etc. Don't like it, dont read it. Dont like it, change it and post different posts.

This BBS is free access to all and should be, but maybe the Zaino distributors should take a bit of a break. Let's remove some of the "commercialism" in here. Let's get some new blood and new ideas in here without running them off. Let's discuss CAR CARE.
The Zaino distributors lay it on pretty thick, I admit, but most of the responses are non-distributors.

Default Re: Are you all Zaino Zombies??? (Andy1983)

I gotta tell you, I've used two car detailing products (Zaino and Dri-Wash) and both products have it's pluses and minuses.

Zaino is extremely labor intense, however it is because of this labor intensive product that you get the results and durability that you expect. I Zainoed my 02 Camaro straight from the dealership and I gotta be honest, it took me over 6 hours to do the car right from start to finish. That's insane! Every muscle in my body ached, however, I now have a finish on my car that will last for months.

Here's the Zaino results from the fruits of my labors yesterday.

When I bought my CE, a member of the club I belong to recommended Dri Wash. Loved the stuff, easy as pie to apply. However, it is not as durable as Zaino. But, my CE is not a daily driver nor is the Z28.

When ranting and raving about a certain product, there are variances on how your favorite product will perform and last against another product. However, I do have to admit that most posts on this forum are about Zaino and that's fine. BUT pleaase remember, there are other products out there besides Zaino that may work for that person's amount of time they want to invest in detailing their car and driving habits.

I for one would not dream of detailing the CE with Zaino. I couldn't keep up with the amount of physical labor it takes to maintain the car. My arm would fall off. :flag

Here's a photo of the CE using strictly Dri Wash. Which BTW, I'm extremely pleased with the results....
