Microfiber Towels
What do you guys think of microfiber towels? I am kinda hesitant to use them, as I cant see any advantages over our good ol 100% cotton towels. Are these things as good as everyone is making them out to be, or is it all being blown out of proportion?

Re: Microfiber Towels (MBVette)
MF towels are great- provided that you get good ones. Go to http://www.griotsgarge.com and order the best. They do a wonderful job with wax/polish removal/buffing and detailer spray. You will be pleased.

Re: Microfiber Towels (BIGMAC2)
I agree with BIGMAC2, make sure regardless if you use cotton or microfiber, go with the best ones you can get. I personally use the towels KLO sells, but I have also had great luck with Griots products, so I am sure their microfiber towels are good as well.

Carl,
So your recomending to stay away from them, because you have no idea what your buying?

I use microfiber towels exclusively on the windows...they're the best! Combined with "Invisible Glass", they can't be beat.

I use them with the detail spray and to clean inside of front windshield. I think neatitems.com offers the best MF towels, 70/30 blend, super thick. I washed myine dozens of times with almost no sign of wear. I use the bath size ones to dry the car after washing it. Go to terry cloth section of web site.

Scott, as Diva said for the windows they are fine, I know many people use them on their cars, I just am not happy with the quality at this time, I use cotton towels from Kevin (KLO) I know what I am getting. :yesnod:

Re: Microfiber Towels (hcvone)
Hi hcvone,
I heard Sal is making progress towards finding & testing a MF vendor whose quality and consistency would be on a level acceptable to Sal.....perhaps a vendor who makes the MF towels himself instead of importing them from overseas. Any updates on this or am I way off base?

Re: Microfiber Towels (MBVette)
I've been using a California Water Blade and then using Giriot's Garage's 25"x35" Micro Fiber Drying Towel to finish up the body. This towel costs $26.95 but it's the best towel I've used. It's washable and with minimum care it should last forever(or at least a real long time). No signs of any scratches or swirls on my black '90. Try one. If you're not satisfied, Giriot's will refund your money.

I am very impressed with the performance of the Scotch brand microfiber cloth on window glass. For the painted areas I will continue to use my Big & Softs.
