Adam's Detail Spray has lost it's color. Why?
I have a couple sample bottles of the detail spray. I have used one of them. So I went to get it this afternoon and its not pink anymore. It's milky in color. It smells very much the same but looks completely different.
FTR, I'm not complaining about Adam's products. The sample cost me nothing so they owe me nothing. I like their products and have no beef with them. But i am curious as to why it lost its color? I assume I shouldn't use it.
FTR, I got this last summer. It is the original formula AFAIK.
Anyone have ideas on why this happened? Again, I'm just curious.

A lot of factors can go into chemicals changing colors and breaking down... temperature, time, etc...
I had a bottle do the same thing as you describe, and it was about 1 year old. I didn't notice it being any less effective though.
Don't quote me, but I think that most of these products only have a 1 or 2 year expected shelf life. Much less if you store them in a garage where the temperature may vary a lot in the summer/winter.

We had a batch of Detail Spray shortly after we changed the formula that was a lighter shade of pink than normal. Purely cosmetic, and was due to the way we bottled that particular batch.
As others mentioned, extreme temps, especially above 90* will make the dyes in our chemicals do funny things. Normally doesn't affect how the product works though, so you should be fine.
If you use it and see any abnormal behavior, let me know and I'll take care of you!
