Default Chrome Wheels, Cleaning

I am having some issues trying to get what I think is oxidation of the chrome wheels that I have. It may also be hard water spots, not sure. Anyone have any suggestions? We have used both Mother's and Mguires chrome wheel cleaner and it helps, but doesn't completely get rid of it. Thanks!

Might try a clay bar then move to some light compound. Start with the less aggressive and move up until you see some results.

I have been doing some research on clay bars on chrome wheels, wasn't sure if you could use them. We have used it on the body of our C6 and are very pleased with the results... do you know if they make a specific one for wheels or chrome?

Generally speaking chrome is quite hard and durable and often times can be cleaned pretty well. Its when they pit that they need professional help and often times to be re-chromed.

1. Never wash wheels when hot
2. Use Griots Chrome Wheel Cleaner (with Wheel Brush or Wheel Woolies)
3. Polish wheels with chrome specific wheel polish (you can use Mothers Powerball)
4. Consider protecting with a wheel sealant
