Default Tent / Canopy for detailing when you don't have huge garage or other shaded area?

I'm a newb at detailing, but I know that I can't work on my car under the sun and need shade.

I've been detailing in the early morning and in the evenings. I want to get a canopy or tent (that can be easily taken down and put away) so that I don't feel rushed at 7am that the sun is about to come up and screw up what I'm doing.

Any suggestions ?

I have a 10x10 canopy I got from a local sporting goods store. You can pick them up just about anywhere for under $100. I'd go 12x12 if I were to do over. The vette and my wifes car fit fine under it but with my Honda Pilot I need to put the posts up on some cinder blocks to get enough height.

I have two 10x10 Adam's tents. They are expensive, but much more durable than the tents sold locally. I had a cheapo $100 one and it'll blow over in the wind, legs bend, etc. You get what you pay for in tent quality.

I've gone through about five 10'x10' tents. (the legs break)
I purchase a Coleman and the legs are a bit thicker.
It has lasted me a few years now with no signs of breaking.
I believe it was about $130 rather than the $100 cheaper ones.

KD Canopy or EZ-Up make the nicest canopies, with nice strong frames - you'll spend a little more for them, but you also won't be replacing them every season either.

My 8x12 EZ Up Speed Shelter II is going on its 5th year, not a single problem with it. Also, the 8' x 12' layout suits parking a car a little better than a 10 x 10

I have a 10x10 from Sam's. It has adjustable legs and optional side curtains if needed. Had it for about 10 years.

I got a 10 x 10 shade tent at Ace Hardware and that works great, also use it at car shows and other events for shade for us. And it collapses down and fits in the back of our C6... Great investment!
