Default Best wheel cleaner? Bilberry, sonax, ironx?

I have read over and over about these but which one is the best for chrome and painted also? I just spoke to someone at autogeek who told me the ironx isnt the best for painted and to go with sonax. Ive never used sonax but i keep hearing that bilberry is amazing. Ive used brown royal and wasnt impressed at all.

Any input helps guys!!!!!!

Bleche-White is all I have ever used. Chrome, Painted, Magnesium, Polished.
Don't let it sit on too long, but spray, brush and rinse.

I only use safe wheel cleaners .... never anything acid based. I trust P21S first, and Griots second. Never had any harm to any wheels including my custom Iforged Wheels after several years of use. I use a Daytona Wheel Brush to keep the barrels clean too.

I've used Sonax in the past, and it works pretty good !

It's acid free and will work on all sorts of wheel finishes

If you try it, let me say this: I thought it had a strong smell (like sulfur almost)

It's not as thick as gel, but it is a thicker kinda liquid. You spray it on - (looks green when it first comes out) and just let it soak for 5 minutes, (and then it turns reddish,) then I used a Daytona brush, foamed up a little while scrubbing - then you simply rinse it off.

DON'T use it when the wheels are warm or apply in direct sun, and don't let it stay on long enough that it will dry (according to the instructions)

It will definitely make brake dust just wash away

I use the exact same products. P21S Wheel Cleaner and I love the Daytona brush!

I kept a set of CCW's looking incredible with soap, water and the P21S after the track.

One day the car was in the shop for some paintwork. The body shop wash rack sprays some nasty wheel cleaner on them and etched all four. Nice.

P21S is very safe and that is a big deal to me.

Soap and water rinse, P21S soap followed up with Zaino clear seal is by far the ultimate combination for my CCW wheels…..

Dave,

You need to try one of the new wheel coatings like Gtechnic. It will protect for several years in one application. I am over 18 months on my Iforged Wheels. Pinnacle, DP, and others are out now also.
