get them off as quickly as possible ..... their guts can harm paint and etch the surface. I highly suggest keeping some Poorboys Buqsquash with you when traveling.

Had a similar experience in Idaho. Used a soapy solution of Dawn and water over the entire area and then gently washed and re-washed until all of the bug goo was gone. The little buggers really stick on when the hit the front of the car at 80 mph.
Re-waxing restored the front to good as new.

Ok this may sound crazy! But pick your favorite soap take a dryer sheet (the kind you use in a clothes dryer) toss it in your bucket let soak for a minute or so then use it on the bugs! Works amazing and doesn't scratch or swirl your paint job. Once you get a bunch of bugs in a sheet switch out for another one. You will be so surprised how well it works!

I would soak two bath towels in water and lay them on the front of the car for 10 minutes. That should loosen them up enough to wash them off with soap.

Soak it with water for 10 minutes or so before you wash it and spray as much off as possible before hand washing. Little bug parts have a tendency to scratch the finish. It's important to have multiple coats of wax on the front facing sections of your car...bugs come off easier on the slick surface.
