Just put my first coat of Z5 on. So how many coats of z5 - z2 do you use?

Once removing Z5, I would add Z2. Which should tide you over for awhile. For more shine add another coat of Z2.

Personally what I did/do:
Week 1: Dawn, Wash, Z1 (not needed with ZFX), Z5, Z2 (4 Hours)
Week 2: Wash, Z5, Z6, Z2 (2.5 Hours w/ ZFX)
Week 3: Wash, Z6, Z2 (1.5 Hour w/ZFX)
Every week: Wash + Z6 (1 hour)
Every 3 weeks: Wash, Z6, Z2

I believe the recommended order of application is to finish with Z6, i.e, wash, Z2 or Z5, then finish with Z6.

If I remember right you can put 10 coats of z2 or z5 before you have to put the color lock on again.

i was told z5 all the way for dark (black) cars. use z2 on dark (black) cars sometimes but use z5 all the time ??

Use sparingly, or not only will you waste, you'll be waiting forever for it to dry and/or just smearing it around when you try to remove it. I can do my entire car (including wheels) with about 3/4 oz. of Z2. I use ZFX - don't know if that makes a difference as to how much I use.

There was more than 20 coats at one time. I have a fairly new paint job..so the shine is preserved at best. It had a few spots wet sanded(small runs or nibs) since then, ZFX crazy! It's going to be re-ZFX'd Z5 soon. it's in need.

I like Zaino, and pretty much swear by it, but some of you people are just a little too goofy about it! When you wash your hair, do you shampoo once then rinse and repeat? :lol:

In answer to the original question... The sky is the limit. When the doors won't open anymore, then you might wanna back off some. In truth, each coat you put on advances you in the cult of Zaino-olics. Your goal is to be the leader someday. Remember.... Wax on, Wax off. Oops! There is no wax in Zaino. Sorry.
