Hey Guys.... I bought couple of the Griot's Micro Fiber Drying towels and it works like a champ!!! :jester I was amazed on how good it picks up the water off the car w/out leaving lent on it --and moreso when I cleaned the interior glass and overall interior. I'm sold on these! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

Newspaper also works great but what a black mess on your hands

I just purchased and used the Girot's Glass Cleaner/System....
I'll have to order this. Cleaning the inside of the windshield is such a pain...

Newspaper has been used on windshields forever, something in the ink that does the trick. But like someone mentioned, messy. :smash:

Just a reminder-

Many glass cleaners will attack the plastic on your dash gauges, or on the tinted top. I find Stoners to be a little better than the GM cleaner on my side windows, but the GM stuff is perfect for the tinted top and dash gauges.

I've used the Amour All WIPES with great success.
Comes in a large tube.

You know, I just tried WINDEX new wipe cloths(I'm not sure of the exact name) they seem to work as well as anything as long as I use them right after washing the car. :yesnod:
I just bought some of these to try. the reason I bought them was to avoid overspray getting on the dash which has to be cleaned and new dressing applied. The dressing then gets on the glass which requires the glass to be cleaned again which leads to glass cleaner on the dash which... you get the point.

Once you get the windows clean--which usually requires polishing--I find water only to do the best for me. Of course, you want to clean them frequently. (My drivers get done every weekend and the Vette gets done just about every time it is driven.) Also, buffing is the real secret--not the cleaner itself so much. A very damp rag with a quick buffing using another DRY rag works for me. (Doing small sections is best. You want to buff before the water evaporates.) Another secret is buffing in straight lines instead of circular wipes. When you buff out paint, you do straight lines because doing so prevents swirl marks. Essentially, you are deceiving the eye because buffing lines are less noticable if they are going the same direction. I find the same to be true with glass.

I've been using plain water for years now, but you have to start with a clean window. Again, polishing is needed. They make special glass polish, but I have used Meguires Cleaner/Wax with good results. (Use it sparingly. Just a very light coat is all that is needed.)

I hope this helps. My dad use to always complain that you just couldn't get windows clean. I took that as a challenge and proved I could.

I just purchased and used the Girot's Glass Cleaner/System....my glass has never looked this good. Plus the tool in the system makes it really easy to reach all the hard to get to spots. I've tried about everything on the market, but I'm sticking with Girot's Garage System now.
CarTract,

Glad to hear that you're pleased with the Griot's Glass cleaner tool. I've had mine for about a month, but haven't had a chance to put it to the test. I looks like it will make the lower inside of the windshield much easier to reach.

Just tried Stoners this afternoon for the first time and it worked great. I had some smudges on the inside of the windshield that just wouldn't come off with anything else (including Zanio). Stoners took it off in one easy application.
