sheepskin and other natural mitts need to be handled carefully and stored properly or they can fall apart and essentially rot over time. I find using a good thick soft MF towel still works best, as well as the chenille fingered mitts. There are many great choices including sponges, bones, and synthetic mitts.

Try to store them dry when not in use, remove all excess water if sitting prior to washing, and consider a Grit Gard to keep sediment in the bottom of the bucket and not in your mit.

My preference is genuine sheepskin.

I have been using this one for the last 2 years. I have been very happy with it.
