Default Meguire's removal help

I used the swirl remover and it is very difficult to remove. When I rub very hard I just put scratches back on the clear. car is black and has many swirl marks from age.

Which specific swirl remover product? How are you applying it?

It is in the tan bottle that says "swirl remover" I put it on with an orbital polisher, terrycloth pad.

Meguiars #9 (Swirl Remover 2.0) is a very mild cleaner polish and is designed for following up after a more aggressive polish in a body shop environment, like #80/83. It will do little for actual swirls and scratches in your paint, especially with a cheaper orbital buffer (assuming it's not a PC/G110).

You would have much better results with their newer products like SwirlX or Ultimate Compound.

To remove the stuck on polish you can simply apply some of the #9 to a foam applicator and go over the area a little and then immediately wipe it off.

Typically #9 should be rather easy to remove so it is possible you over worked it or allowed it to dry before removing.

Thanks Rasky,
I think I overworked it. I will try to find the other two products you mentioned.

Also, check out the info on Autogeeks web page or, since you are using Meguiar's products, their forums...LOTS of great info on both with moderator assistance...

Or, call the 800 # on the Meguar's products and talk to a tech.
