Mould / Mildew - dirt and moisture are essential to mould / mildew propagation; if the contamination is not removed the fungus will degrade the material. Just like mould and mildew contamination in other areas, you cannot wash or shampoo it away; this only makes the problem worse.

The fungus is caused by living organisms that must be killed before the material is cleaned, and all the moisture is eliminated by thoroughly drying the material or the mildew will return

a) Use a medium soft brush and a 4:1 solution distilled water / ammonia and then rinse with cool clean water
b) For tougher stains use a mixture of one (1) one teaspoon ammonia / quarter (1/4) cup Hydrogen Peroxide / three (3/4) cup distilled water and then rinse with cool clean water

Badly stained material - Amazing Roll-Off (contains Butyl Cellosolve) a concentrated, water-activated cleaner. Wet the area to be cleaned with distilled water, lightly spray and rinse thoroughly. For neglected convertible fabric tops leave above solution fabric cleaner on overnight, keep damp by covering with a plastic sheet, once stains are removed rinse thoroughly and apply protection.

Clean the convertible top with either the:
Raggtopp Convertible Top Cleaner - Fabric and Vinyl Tops OR
303 Convertible Top Cleaner
I would wash the top first. Then spot treat stains with these cleaners and microfiber towel or bristle brush. Use light pressure and work the cleaner in multiple angles to remove it entirely.

Protect the top from future build ups with either the:
Raggtopp Fabric Protectant OR
303 High Tech Fabric Guard

Mix bleach and water in equal parts and pour it on the mildewed area. Allow it to sit for 10-15 seconds before rinsing it off with clear water. Dry the area with a soft, clean, dry towel. or mix two parts water to one part ammonia and pour it onto the mildewed area. Allow it to soak for 10-15 seconds and scrub the area with a soft clean cloth. Rinse the area with clear water and dry with a soft, clean, dry towel.

For general cleaning then use a mild dilution of all-purpose cleaner and start with a soft brush. If the soft brush does not adequately remove the stain's, go with a medium brush and scrub lightly.
Then follow up with Raggtopp Convertible Top Care Kit or the 303 Fabric Convertible Top Kit.
