Default porter cable polisher

Looking to buy a polisher and want to know what any of your experiences were. heard good things about porter cable though. How often do you use a polisher and can you over do it and harm the paint? There are a couple of polishers of varing speeds. Which is best in your veiws? Thanks

I've tried the PC and it seems to work very well. It has been claimed that the dual action type of polishers like PC can't harm paint, but I think it depends on the product being applied and the presure being applied by the operator. Products with harsh abbrasives could quickly cloud or dull clear coat.
The Porter Cable 7336sp is on sale even as we speak at: http://www.internationaltool.com
$109.95 less a $10.00 instant rebate making it 99.95 with free shipping!
That's the best price we've found, mine came Friday. The PC kit from CMA supplies a velcro head and pads, ect for a good price. CMA is at: http://www.properautocare.com they are great to deal with.
Well, there's my two cents for what's its worth.
Bill :) :)

I purchased the Porter Cable orbital from Griots Garage a week ago, along with their machine polish #2,and #3. All swirls and spider webbing has been removed from the roof of my coupe,in the basement because of cold conditionions. Am very pleased with the ease and results of these products. The swirls had become too much for Zaino #5 too hide. I have applied the polishes at the top speed of the machine and leaned into the paint with only positive results. I clayed the car,and use their orange polish pads, one for each polish. I am wait ing for warmer weather to do the rest of the car
