I think its genius, as a car guy i want him to wash my car, as a marketing guy i think its brilliant, as a detailer though...lol.

Gotta hand it to the guy though he might as well make his own line of crap and live off of that income

He is a brilliant detailer as well. I would trust my Lambo with him any time (If I had one that is! )

At Paul's level, there is not a big difference between one detailer and the next. In the end, it's all grunt work. They either know how to get the best results possible or they don't.

The real difference is how they market and sell themselves and their services. There aren't that many Bugatti Veyron's, Pagoni Zonda's, McLaren SLR's, etc in the world. The best detailer is the one whose phone rings when an owner of a car like these wants it cleaned up.

Nice little commercial. I agree though after personally detailing multiple CGT's and many other high end exotics when it comes down to it he's really not doing anything a few of us haven't done. Just better marketing is all.
So what does it say about those who do no marketing yet have some of the same clientele?

you think he's really been doing that for 17 years at that level? He's not that old.

Paints and products were very different years ago. Much of what is "machined out" today was wet sanded out years ago.

Some folks on the forum have been detailing cars for thirty or so years and are very good at it. They just don't do it professionally, they do it because it is a labor of love.

I don't get on forums as much as I used too.

I've been detailing my cars for over 15 years now as well but if you asked about detailing on the level I do now and detailing professionally I'd tell you over 4 years. You see what I'm saying.

Thanks that was about all the publicity I'll ever get unless I hire a marketing expert myself. Maybe one day huh.
