Micromarring and smaller scratches can indeed be removed and lightened with the use of a machine buffer like the PC-XP. You always want to start with the lightest polish and pad combo and move more aggressive only as needed.

If you have the Wolfgang/Lake Country pads then likely a white pad (medium) and Zaino ZPC will be a light combo and should help. You can always move to a more aggressive polish (often called swirl removers and numbered based upon cut) or to an orange (abrasive) pad. I have never used an orange pad and ZPC so would suggest speaking with Frank (aka AgentF1) or Sal first to get best hints. Other polishes like Megs 105, Menzerna SIP, and even 3M should work also.

Often times when using a more abrasive pad/polish combo you need to come back to a lighter pad/polish combo to remove smaller markings and micromarring. While it doesnt sound like you are in this predictament now, it might be needed later. If the marking is quite light and really just want to clean paint a bit and boost the gloss and reflection then move straight to a finishing pad and light finishing polish.

(this should help too , and please contact us if additional help is needed).

Thank's much...I think I am going to try the Menzerna SIP, and buy a claybar....and then do side by side panels for the best / desired results.

Stay in tune.....

a claybar isn't going to remove micromarring that your talking about, all its going to do is remove above surface contaminants. If you get too agressive of a claybar you might even add more micromarring

I would go with the M105 and M205 combo on your Corvette. SIP works ok but it has fillers that will make you think you have remove them.

great choices indeed. Claybar is a must before polishing IMO and really only needs to be done annually on most finishes. SIP is a bit more aggressive than your current polish but finishes down quite nicely. On the first panel or two you can wipe with alcohol as desired to test and make sure the correction worked. With the lighter markings you suggested, SIP should indeed help. Let me know if I can be of more help and thanks for considering Autogeek.

Can you tell me whom makes these products and where to purchase them as well. I'm sorry, I am not familiar with these numbers, and I am heading into uncharted waters.

We also carry the Megs line , the numbers indicate the two polishes with SMAT technology. Essentially they use non-diminishing abrasives so they continue to cut and correct as same level from start till finish.
