White grunge on my tires?
I pulled the snow tires out to swap with the summer wheels today....yup...winter's coming. I found this "funky" white grunge on the tires. The picture is after three scrubs with Eagle One Wheel & Tire which as we all know.. cleans everything.
I found it rubbed off which you see at the 1:00-2:00 position. I remembered I had some Mr Clean white scrub pads which helped get a lot of it off.
Question is why did this grunge form. I'm thinking I might have used a can of spray-on foam cleaner-shine at some point last winter that wants to cling on the tire.
Anyone else run into this?

Probably a combination of the oils in the tire bleeding out and whatever salt/dirt that had accumulated on them before they were put away. I have had good luck cleaning with Westley's Bleach White and a soap impregnated Brillo pad and a stiff brush. Then hit it with Zaino Z16 or whatever you like.
