Default Curious~ How many of you use a leaf blower to dry??

I just learned a way to dry my new car from a friend down the street. He has a 99 Vette and I saw him using a leaf blower to dry the car. I gave it a shot and it worked! It does a great job getting the water out of the mirrors and other hard to dry areas. Just have to use detailer to get the rest of the water spots off. Its funny to see the looks I get from passersby! This may be a repeat thread and if so I apologize. I'm still learning the ropes of this forum... Enjoy your ride!

I use Mr. Clean Auto Dry System to wash and a leaf blower to dry (even though Mr. Clean lets it air dry without spotting). The process works very well.

i use my air compressor to get in the cracks, been using it this way for the past 8 or so years on cars. Not so sure if I would be using a gas powered leaf blower though... just seems like it would spew out contaminants onto your paint though I could be totally wrong, lol.

I use an electric leaf blower because some have said that a gas blower will leave a soot and oily residue on the car.

After I use the blower, I wipe down with Zaino Z-6 detailer to remove any water spots left behind.

Makita gas blower here. I've never had any residue blown on the car but that's not to say others have not experienced it.

Been using a Toro electric blower for years. Gets all of the water out of the crannies and no need to touch it with a towel.

Incredible. Toro leaf blower is so powerful it will almost lift you in the air if you point it to the ground. Powerful and best way to dry your Vette and other cars.

Yep me too... I've found it works best when the wax/polish is relatively fresh.

I use Rejex and the Toro electric blower because it weighs about 4 lbs and only cost me $29.
