My understanding is that the 7424 was copied by Meguaires and then they made it more powerful, and now PC is copying Meguaires modified version.

That wouldn't surprise me. But we will never know the truth....

Hmm, I might have to try this. I do like my normal PC, but a little more oomph wouldn't hurt either. This could make a nice replacement; while my PC moves to the "spare polisher" slot.

I suppose its too early to hope for any firsthand accounts on how it differs from the standard PC, coming from someone who has used both?

edit: I didn't realize this was on sale! you guys suck! I'm trying to hang on to my money here!

Have they improved the sound of the motor? My existing one runs fine but does not sound the way a fine tuned product should.
We all have power tools that we love the way they sound and we have some that.....

The early reviews are suggesting this is more than a PC with a couple more orbits. Sounds like the motor is stronger and fit/feel is much nicer too. I hear this and the Griots buffers are the current premium product in reasonable priced orbitals. I am looking forward to snagging one for testing as possible.
