Default complete detail advise needed!

hey guys i just purchased the pc 7424 kit with the menzerna ceramic
kit (Menzerna Super Finish (Nano) and Menzerna Super Intensive Polish PO 83. After that i will go with 3 coats of z2(z6 in between coats) followed by zcs and z8. whic pads do i use and what speed, which ones do i use first? By the way my car is black, should i use z2 or z5? is there really any diference?i have the z2 and will use it to avoid ordering the z5. could i get away with using the z2 since i will be using the menserna to remove swirls? Thanks

It all depends on the condition of your finish. Always use the least aggressive method possible.

A possible and likely solution would be an orange pad with SIP on speed 5-6, followed by a white pad with Nano on speed 5-6. Go slowly and make sure you're satisfied with each step before moving on.

Z2 will be fine. *I* prefer Z5 Pro on black, but the differences are pretty subtle.

We have some detailed advice for operating the PC 7424 in our Detailing Guide. It has detailed instructions for each step: polishing, glaze, sealants, waxes, etc. If you have any other questions please let me know.

I think you bought the kit from us, and the sale does not stop at the door. Call us if you need hints and speak with Dwayne, Jason, or Meghan.

I personally find that the PC needs to be used on full speed all the time when polishing. I usually use SIP with orange pad. Then SIP with white pad, and finally Nano with a grey finishing pad. This removes any minor micromarring when removing the swirls and also gems the paint (amps up the reflection). If going with Zaino as a sealant, its hard to beat their Z5Pro and Z8 Spray Combo. All these products work extremely well together!

I love the 106FA the gloss you will get, however I use it on a rotary. It takes a bit of time to break down the polish media with a rotary, so my guess is it will take longer with a PC even on speed 6. Work the polish until it looks like olive oil on the surface, if you have good lighting reflecting off the area you are working, its easier to see the break down. You NEED to make sure the surface of the car is SUPER (void of waxes, soaps, etc) before you polish with menzerna, they don't play nicely without a super clean surface. Deeply wash the car between SIP and 106.
