Whats does everyone use for car care? What products do you use for:
1) car wash soap
2) wax
3) vinyl/interior care and conditioning
4) wheel cleaner (i guess more specifically for the aluminum wheels for most of us?)
5) tire cleaner if you use it, someone told me most tire shining solutions work by slightly wearing down the rubber to expose fresh rubber or something, no idea how true this is.
6) misc.
I dont use anything beyond soap and water for outside and inside vinyl interior so im just curious what everyone prefers and their experiences.
Everyone has their own personal choices for products and it really boils down to what YOU prefer. There are many fine products out there and you will get a lot of input on this one. Try different products and settle on what makes you happy. Personally I'm a Zaino guy, many of us here, but that doesn't mean that you will like it better that another product. Have fun and enjoy the results of your labor.

Wax - I use several, including paint sealant. Like the Wolfgang Paint Sealant the best. Like Megs 26 wax and Griot's Best of Show.
Interior care - Nano protectant (it works fine, but I'm not in love with it....like to try 303)
Wheels - same as car soap - my wheels are clearcoated thin spokes
Tire dressing - Black Magic tire gel
Exhaust pipes - Blue Magic cream
Don't forget the Stoners Invisible Glass cleaner in the aerosol can - best I've seen since industrial Zep 40. Wife has appropriated several cans for household use.
And you can never have too many microfiber towels.
Two bucket wash system + clean towels will keep your handiwork looking sharp and swirl free.
By the way, you know that detailing is a sickness, right? It can become its own separate side hobby.
For silver paint, you cant beat Pinacle Series II wax for a deep wet look. For interior, I like 303 for general cleaning and maintenance. For the tires, I like Adams VRT or Zaino Z10, both work well with no sling and a nice sheen. The Adams seems to darken the rubber more, but the Zaino is easier to apply and both last about a week with no sling off.
I've been using Zaino products for over six years now and find that they have an extensive line of good products for car care. During that period I've tried other porduct for the paint/clear coat finish, but keep coming back to Zaino polishes and sealants. They seem to provide the best of both worlds, deep shine and long lasting durability. I do not necessarily use other Zaino products for all of my care care needs. I am constantly finding other car care products that work better for me.
Just read the treads in this forum. There are a lot of good products out there, try them and find the ones that you prefer.
I like Meguairs for the car wash, Aerospace 303 for the interior and either Adams Buttery Wax or Nattys Red for the exterior. I also use either Adams or Megs detail spray.
Whats does everyone use for car care? What products do you use for:
1) car wash soap - Zaino Z7
2) wax - I have tried everything but always end up back with Zaino as my go to sealant.
3) vinyl/interior care and conditioning - Zaino Z9 and Z10 for leather and Z16 for all rubber surfaces. I also use a mixture of Z10 with a little Z16 added to adjust the level of shine on some interior plastic and vinyl trim pieces. 4) wheel cleaner (i guess more specifically for the aluminum wheels for most of us?) - Mostly Z7 and water but on bad wheels I use some stuff I bought from the AutoGeek. I forget who makes it but can look if you need to know. I also hear a lot of people praise P21S but have not tried it myself yet.
5) tire cleaner if you use it, someone told me most tire shining solutions work by slightly wearing down the rubber to expose fresh rubber or something, no idea how true this is. - Wesley's Bleach White.
6) misc. - 303 is also nice on vinyl but has zero durability. Aquapel for windshields. There is also not a bad Zaino product out there from the plastic polish to the glass polish etc...
