When does this end? If I buy Souveran paste wax, does it come with an applicator? Without polishing or dish washing soap, how can I remove all old wax/sealants?

The Pinnacle Wax site concentrates on Pinnacle products almost exclusively (well also the tools that work with it) and the discount is going to be on a more normal basis. Souveran Paste does come with an applicator, but I implore you to study the Sizzling Shine Kit. Its the best value and includes the soap, paint cleanser (this will remove old wax), and spray to keep up between sessions.

I'm going to buy the shine kit.

I currently have sealant topped with wax on my car. Here's what I want to do to start fresh:

1. Pinnacle paint cleanser the comes with the shine kit. Is the cleanser *effective* to remove old sealant/wax by hand?

2. Re-apply Wolfgang sealant 3.0 (I will let it cure)

3. Apply Souveran Paste Wax

Sound good?

Couple more questions....

Will the paintwork cleanser leave a barrier so the sealant cannot seal as it's supposed to?

Was the paintwork cleanser designed to work with a machine polisher?

I have an autogeek foam gun, will the pinnacle bodywork shampoo work fine with it?

The paintwork cleanser is designed specifically for carnauba waxes (not sealants) and has some light filling ability for those not using a machine. You can however use it with a machine also but only as abrasive as the pad used.

The Pinnacle Wash works fine in the foam gun.

Would I be better off skipping the sealant and applying the Souveran right after the cleanser?

yes ... however I did speak to one of our forums Wolfgang lovers and he said he has used directly over Paintwork Lotion without issue too.

I think I will skip the sealant.

How durable is Souveran? My car is outside 24/7, driven everyday, and washed once a week. If you had to take a wild guess, how often should I apply the Souveran to maintain good protection?

I found about three to four weeks of protection using the soap and quick detailer between wax sessions. The best part however is Souveran is a WOWO product (wipe on wife off immediately) and a whole Vette is done in 10 minutes. A little goes along way and you dont need/want to over apply it.

After thinking about it, my car never sees a garage and it's driven everyday, so I need as good protection as possible. I will definitely use a sealant for protection, and use the Souveran for "looks". I want a *bare* surface before I apply wolfgang 3.0 sealant without polishing or claying, I've already done that. Would a 50/50 Isopropyl wipe down remove all old sealant/wax in place of the paintwork lotion? Or, would 3m wax and adhesive remover be better?

I'm still going to buy the shine kit(even if I dont use the paintwork lotion), it's a really good deal with the 20% off!

Thanks for answering all of my questions!!

I use 3M Wax and Adhesive Remover myself when testing products and wanting to remove sealants or waxes. Iso wipe is another proven winner by most.
