Default how do you get rid of swirl marks on black c5?

Man my car has so many swirls. Is this something for a professional or is it a DIY. Weekend project maybe.

If you have no experience reclaiming bad paint conditions it is best left to a pro. Just my .02

Have someone else do it, and then pay them 3/5 of what they ask. What..everyone's doing it.

Maybe Brian can cut you a deal. Sorry for the jab Brian, but Evil''s work is stunning . A true pro who can perform miracles on crap cars, let alone a good one.

Definitely at weekend project at minimum... but if you're new to car care, you'll either want to get a good detailer to tackle it, or be prepared to spend a LOT of time learning, and collecting the right supplies. Either way you will spend anywhere from several hundred bucks, to possibly a grand or more depending on how bad the paint is and how much you want to spend on products and polisher(s). For $500 and up, a good detailer should be able to work miracles and clear up a significant amount of defects; but $500 will also set you up with everything you need to do it yourself (or most of it, anyway) and from that point forward, all you spend is what's needed to replenish supplies as you go, instead of spending for a detailer every time your paint gets bad.

personally, I went the self-study route and found it to be a fascinating pastime that I enjoy, and for the price of one good, solid detail I instead bought everything I need to do all the work myself from now on. While I still don't have half the skill of the experts hanging around here, I still manage to produce amazing results!

You will need a machine to buff them out. I know. I have black c5. Once you remove them, you will have hallowgrams and need to remove them. Go to the car care section, they will help you. I used 3M compounds and pads and they worked well for me. Some will say do not attempt to do it yourself. I am not a pro, but got good results with practice and TIME.

By the way...... a black car will get swirls after a couple of months. Its a never ending job to take care of a black car.

Ha, is that a dig at Evil_C5 and his ordeal he has gone thru? Don't try to scam the guy doing the work for you. They put a lot of hard work into making the car look great. It only makes sense to fairly compensate them for their time and work.

That's past tense, as in what you say to the guy AFTER he did all the work.
