I think it can provide a real benefit to certain areas prone to chipping on a car. We have many that have it and love the product. Handle with care, and make sure car is well prepped prior to install to avoid sealing in swirls and marks you can no longer polish to remove.

What sort of prepping do you recommend? The car is an 09 cyber grey. When I go for the clear bra I will have about 600 miles on the car...never waxed, polished, rejexed, clay barred, ect.
ClearMask AR or VentureShield are the two I recommend. You will not have to prep your car since its new and the installer will clean it up before he does his install. Dont worry about waxing it since it will be removed anyway.

I've heard good things about venture shield...but does it only come in precut patterns? Also, don't know anything about Clearmask AR...who makes it?
Thanks
VentureShield does come in precut patterns... or you can buy it in bulk. I have a roll of 58" film I use for wrapping hoods when requested. Clearmask AR is also a 3M film, but not the automotive line of film. Its a higher grade of film and is used in their AeroSpace division for aircraft and helicopter rotors. Its branded under ClearMask. I have had great results consistently with that film and prefer it over any of the others I have used. You can go to ClearMask.com and get some more details on the film.

Just went on their website...good info! The Aerogard product sounded interesting...you have any experience with this? Opinions? Is this the "latest and greatest" film from 3M?
Thanks...again.
There appears to be many happy customers with the 3M clearbra based on many of the post I've read in the past. You probably won't go wrong in using their product. It's great to have some protection from chips and bug splat. I went with VentureShield primarily because of their lifetime warranty and finish.
Aerogard is a great film. Has by far the best finish I have seen on any films out there. It is also one of the most difficult I have ever installed. The adhesive is very aggresive and you have to be a very good isntaller to lay this film. I usually charge a little extra for the difficulty in install and the material cost. I have used this film on Iphones and BlackBerries and you cant even tell its on. Its perfectly clear and has no orange peel to it at all.
