Default California duster now garbage?

Dropped the duster on the ground which was kind of sandy. Shook it out but now am scared of hidden sand particles. Is it now garbage? Thanks.

get a new one!!! They are not that expensive and why risk it. You will really regret being cheap if it scratches the hell out of your car

The things are like $15. That's a disposable item in my book, especially if there is doubt as to whether it's no longer safe to use. Toss it and buy a new one!

I too would replace it based upon cost. If you wash it you will remove the paraffin wax on the strands and if you keep it and use it no telling what contaminents trapped in the strands that could scratch over time. Oxo makes a nice one also, its blue, so consider it time for a change. (thats what I tell the wifey)
