Well I pulled a bone head move with my new 08 Black coupe. Just picked it up last week and had today set aside to get her cleaned up. Washed, clayed, washed, buffed with ZPC, applied AIO but way way to much. It is very hot and humid here in Phoenix today and the wax won't dry. Do I just need to wait until tomorrow and see if it will dry overnight or does anyone have any suggestions? Any and all help appreciated.
Less is more with all Zaino products ..if you have some Z6 spray, use that to remove any remaining AIO still on the paint ...you didn't do any harm, so no stress, it'll come off once it dries, humidity extends the drying time 4 sure.
doug
Wipe it down lightly with a MF towel - not completely dry. That will pick up some of the residue and should make drying easier. Welcome to the club! I've over done things as well
Location: Yorktown VA..............., 570 RWHP and 545 TQ
I buffed and put AIO on last night and let it set overnight (I was really tired) without any problems removing it this morning using a little Z6 and MF towels to help clean it up. I tend to put Z5 on to thick also but did good today when I applied it, that stuff goes a long ways.
Thanks all, the help is much appreciated. You would think I would know better after using nothing but Zaino on my 05 LMB C6 for three years. I wiped it down as Paulie suggested and will wait until morning and use Z6to finish cleaning it up, thanks Doug. Thanks TGM, good to know that I can wait until morning because my old back is KILLING me.
Shame, shame, shame.
Less is more with all Z products.
No harm no foul though.
Should be fine later. Use plenty of Z6, then on to the Z5 lightly.
Good luck.

I would just let it sit over nite, that is how I apply Zaino many times, I put it on the night before and let it sit in the garage and remove the next day, OR if you want to remove it now the fix is an extremely easy one, just wipe off what AIO you can with your detailing cloth, and then take another totally clean detailing cloth and mist the paint with plain water and buff to a high shine.
First of all thanks to everyone for your suggestions and assistance. Got it all done and thought I would share my process and a few pics. Any suggestions to the process I used are always welcome. Car is a 2008 black coupe, Z51, Comp grey wheels, NPP exhaust, LT3 trim package with nav and two tone Ebony and Titanium interior. The black out kit and leather console were mods I made after purchase.
Washed with Z7

Now a few pics:
Ignore the ugly mug taking the pic of his reflection with the hood up.
Ok it's still a bit dirty but it was 112% so give a guy a break!
Embroidered head rest.
Interior, no I hadn't vacumed it yet so the matts, also a mod, are still in need.
And last a butt shot for all of you C6 butt fans. Thanks again, all suggestions were much appreciated.
damn! that looks great , nice choice of options, especially the seats & wheels
when I applied Z AIO to mine I was tired and did not have time to remove, I let it sit until the following weekend, then removed, wiped down with Z6, added CS, then Z8
Next time you apply AIO lightly, wipe down with Z6 anyways, not only does this assure a clean surface for the next step it improves the look IMO
I asked Sal Zaino about this very situation (you're not the only one to 'over doux' the amount of Zaino applied at one pass). And, as others have said, he said to let it sit over night and hit it with Z6 and all will be well. Again, with the Z stuff, a little goes a long, long, way!!
I will use about 1oz of ZAIO for a typical car by machine, and slightly more by hand.
When working by hand spritz your pad with 1 trigger of Z6 for some lube, and apply a few pea sized drops to your pad. Work it into the paint (a 2' x 2' or less section at a time) until it becomes translucent looking. At this point you should have a very thin film that dries quick and wipes off with zero effort. Hope this helps
