Default Corvette C6 Factory Wheels - scratched the clearcoat...Help!

On my 2006 Corvette C6, I have the factory polished wheels...

Unfortunately, while drying them this morning a small pebble must of lodged in my cotton towel, causing some "light scratches" in the clearcoat. Obviously, I am upset...

Is there any polish which I could use to remove the scratch, without damaging the clearcoat of the wheel?

I don't want to use an abrasive polish, which would create a "haze" on the wheel (if this makes sense)

Any suggestions would be appreciated

abrasive polishes are what you actually need, but remember the vary from light (finishing) to heavy (compound). If you cannot feel the scratch you can likely remove/reduce it. Use a soft towel and a light polish (paint not metal polish) and you should be in good standing.

Thanks Scott for your suggestion... The scratch is not that deep IMO, but is noticable

Two of the lightest polishes I have are:

Optimum Polish
and Poor Boys SSR 1 (both of which I purchases through Autogeek)

Any preference which one to use?

Again, you don't feel that these light polishes will haze the clear coat of the wheels

The Optimum will offer a little more power, you can finish up with SSR1 as wanted/needed. If the light polish hazes a small bit, the finishing polish will remove and buff to a gleam.
