Default CR Spotless notes and tips

I've used my CR spotless a few times now and I'm very happy. Here are a few thoughts:

1. I use a short hose and run the water from the CR spotless into my Karcher electric high pressure washer with a variable intensity nozzle. That way I don't have to blast the paint. Also, I have good pressure and probably use less water, and therefore less resin.

2. I Use the deionized water to make up the soapy water. I got the best lather ever using the deionized water mixed with car wash.

3. I Use deionized water for initial rinse down.

4. I used the deionized water with gentle pressure to rinse out the engine bay and it looks awesome. No spots!

My car came out better than ever and have to wonder if the water was a factor. Nothing but deionized water hits it now.

Nothing but the CR Deionized water hits mine either. It looks like we use the same pressure washer as well.

I wash with a bucket of deionized water & Turtle Wax Ice car wash soap applied with a soft microfiber cloth.

We use the same wash steps as well, except I never spray water under the hood.

After rinsing I blow dry the car with an electric leaf blower and I don't towel dry at all.

The results are amazing and since the car is cleaner after this approach, it seems to stay cleaner longer.

Because the car (mine's black) doesn't need to be towel dried, there's just that much less chance for swirling.

All these goodies add up to a pretty big car washing investment, but the ease of use, superior results and less chance of damage to the finish make it worthwhile for me.

I'm with you - Now that I have the CR spotless and the pressure washer, I'm never going back to an old hose. However, I think its time for an electric leaf blower. Thank for the tip

Trust me it's every bit as good as we say. I have full sun on my driveway until very late in the afternoon. Now that I have the CR setup I don't have to wait for shade. I can wash any time I want. The only thing I have to be aware of when washing in the sun is to soap quickly and do small areas like half the hood, the roof and windshield, etc. and then rinse immediately. My car is black and I'm a fanatic. If I can be satisfied it has to be really good.

ps. After you get yours, let us know what you think.

What's to try? Just go for it. And your car will look better than ever.

Yes, that's a less expensive model. It looks to be about half the capacity of the one at Costco.

Here's a link to the Sam's Club item:

I have the one from Costco.

I don't know about the small one, but the one from Costco has the hardness meter in ppm so you know when your resin is starting to run out.

I was in Costco this evening and I saw they were selling a CR model DIC 120 (I think) for $299.95. Looked like a smaller version.
