I am thinking about trying Zanio on my 6 week old '08 black C6 and have a few questions about what I plan to order (Paint is in perfect shape, no swirls, etc.). I should also state that durability is really not an issue since I wash/detail my car every weekend (2 bucket wash, etc), I am more interested in looks. I have tried a lot of products on previous cars and my current combination of Klasse AIO and Werkstatt Acrylic Jett is my favorite to date, but I will need to order more AJ soon, and have decided to try Z. I plan on using my Klasse AIO and at some point replacing it with Zanio AIO. So my initial order would be for Z5Pro and Z8. I would use the Z8 after the weekly wash. Does this sound right? Thanks
I would break it down like this. You basically have the choice of either Z5P + Z2P, or AIO. Either way, you're going to want to use the Clear Seal (CS) and Z8 for the ultimate sealing shine. After each wash, you could use Z6....or Z8 if you really want to spend the extra cents. Z8 is a bit more expensive and a bit harder to apply (cuz it seems "thicker"), but gives a bit shinier gloss than Z6 as a "quick detailer/sealer."

the problem with that is the zanio website says use Z2 for light cars, Z5 for dark...mine is black so why use Z2?

Z2p has no fillers where Z5p does. Since darker colors show the smallest imperfections in the paint much more than lighter colors a lot of people prefer to use Z5p for dark paint.
Of course you'll get those people who will post that they would rather remove imperfections rather than hide them. I agree to that statement to a certain point. For very minor superficial stuff that comes from normal every day driving I don't want to be buffing my car every few weeks so I prefer the Z5p. I'll buff once a year or when needed for the more serious stuff, for minor stuff, Z5p does the trick for me.
If you want to give it added depth and wetness since you have a black car, you can skip the Z2p and pick up some Clear Seal and Z8. It takes the shine to another level.
This is *MY* method and I'm sure others will have their own.

OK, so are you saying CS and Z8 only or Z5P+CS+Z8?
thanks
I recommend to my customers, that are in your situation with dark colored cars to go with Z-5 Pro, Clear Seal, and Z-8 Grand Finale. If they want to do in between wash cleanups, add a bottle of Z-6 to the mix.
The Z-5 will fill in those minor imperfections from washing, etc, the CS will add to the shine and protection and the Z-8 will really make it stand up.
If for whatever reason they want to do multiple coats of Z-5, add ZFX to the order.
I ordered a black coupe and emailed Zaino and he recommended Z-AIO, Z-5, Z-6 as the minimum. I wonder if I should also get the clear coat.
Get the Clear Seal! As Mike said, it takes your shine to a whole new level. Don't be dollar-shy. The bottle lasts forever, and is worth the extra few bucks.

thanks for the reply. do I need Klasse AIO or Zanio AIO prior to the Z5P?
I love Z5 & Z2 (both with ZFX accelerator) on my electron blue.
I find that Z6, Z8 & CS streak, I've given up on all 3 of them.
I love the other Zaino products -- ZPC polish, Z7 car wash, Z9/10 leather, Z16 tire gloss.
PB
I found a few helpful tips when using Z6, Z8 and CS.
I make sure to shake the products well before use.
I make sure the car is cool to the touch (I apply them inside my garage after a wash).
I spritz very lightly
For the Z6 and Z8 I use one side of my cobra MF towel for spreading it and the other side for drying it. For CS, it's just spray on and walk away.
Some users prefer to spritz the MF towel or applicator and then apply it to the paint instead of just spraying it directly onto the paint. What ever works for them is all that matters.

Mine's electron blue, also, and I've never had steaking problems with any of the products. I hope you weren't putting it on too thick. Just a couple of sprays on any of the panels. You probably also know/knew that the CS has a rainbow reflection going on, sometimes, while it's drying? This is normal and goes away when it dries.

I like Z5p better on my black Z06 but liked Z2p better on my black MB. Like anything it is a matter of preference, I would try both and see what you like best. You can also use both by applying Z5p first and then Z2p which some say gives you an even better/ultimate look. There is no real answer for this question as they all work great and it is just what look you are looking for. I tend to alternate.

thanks for the reply. I like to try different products, durability not a concern as I detail my car each weekend. currently using the Jeff Werkstatt line. I have some Klasse AIO that I plan on using instead of ZAIO before the Z5P application - any compatibility issues?
