Default Cleaning the underside of the clamshell hood!! how?

I tried simplegreen and LOTS OF IT,didn't help. I want to get it clean enough to Zaino. I want to see my engine on the underside of the hood. Any ideas for rapid cleaning?

What are you trying to remove?
Grease, dirt, both?

I have had good luck with the Purple brand of cleaner, but it required a lot of elbow grease as well.

Castrol Super Clean Degreaser will take all the grease off, but I don't think you're going to get a mirror-like shine on the flat lining material without burnishing it somehow. When I had a C4 I kept it clean and treated it with CD-2 Engine Detailer. Today, I'd try some 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Lots of grese, some dirt.

I've got the superclean, I'm just afraid it will eat the paint.

Go at it with the Castrol Super Degreaser. Spray it on and work it with a parts brush & rinse it off. You should be fine. Just don't go crazy with the degreaser. I used to stand on the tires to clean the underside of the C-4 hood. It looked strange, but made the job a lot easier.
Once you get it clean, treat it with 303 Aerospace protectant.

Once you get it clean, I found Pledge works best for keeping it looking just right.

That castrol works great as a paint thinner.
