I bought some of those yellow flannel buffing rags you find at Wal Mart. They are super soft and 100% cotton. The other day, after going through the Zaino process, I removed it with some of these flannel rags. I made sure to keep the stitching side away from the paint finish and frequently fold. :)
I think it came out fine - I examined the finish from various angels inside in various artificial lights and outside in natural light and didn't notice any swirls or spidering in the clear.
I have noticed that Zaino doesn't endorse these. Are they ok to use? Can they ultimately damage my clear coat?
i bet the response will be that there is not enough nap in the flannel to hide dust, dirt etc and keep it away from the paint. i sometimes use flannel after i use a fieldcrest towel to buff to a higher shine(no matter which product i am using) :D
Flannel works great..... Watch out for the yellow flannel polishers.... The dye breaks down after awhile when chemicals in the polishes mix.... Thus smearing some unwanted dye into places undesired!...... Even white flannel can be harmful if not propery bleached by the manufacture... Just my .02 since I learned the hardway with the yellow crap.. :(
