Default The scoop on formula 113 from the horses mouth :)

Wel to start this i got an email from mr . prisco about one of my posts . So i figured while i had his attention i'd ask him a couple of questions i had . I also am posting this not to be inflamatory , but informative . I found his email very interesting . I have not edited this whatsoever . So here is the info boys . Make your calls :smash: . Thank you for the info Mr. Prisco
:seeya

Question 1 : On your sight it says your product
removes swirls, "Dead paint ?" , oxidation, bird droppings , ..., etc.; How
can it do this without containing abrasives?

If you have an oxidized car around, take a little 409 or purple muscle and
watch the oxidation WIPE off with no effort what so ever. There are no
ABRASIVES in those products, CLEANSERS

Question 2 : If your product
is abrasive doesn't it remove more and more of your finish (be it ever so
small) each time you use it?

There are a very very small amount of abrasives in f-1-1-3, but it is
very minuscule, You cannot feel it between your fingers or when putting the
cap back on the wax bottle. Aluminum silicate has the consistency of baby
powder, you could rub with all your might and not scratch your car. You are
not removing your paint. If you ever see my car you would be impressed. I
just received a word of mouth order while typing this e-mail, the guy who
recommended it was a very picky corvette owner.

Question 3 : Will you product hold up after
being washed with dawn?
Why would you wash your car with dawn??? to strip wax right?? Are a
brainwashed ZAINO USER????
f-1-1-3 Vs Zaino , They are 2 very different products, zaino is for good
paint, if its scratched they will tell you to use 3M Part no 3000 what ever
before applying zaino, first off I would never use 3m , I know they are very
abrasive. Zaino would fall short in many area's but f-1-1-3 works on all
paints in all situations.

f-1-1-3 will not last as long as zaino, but nothing last's forever. Do you
let your corvette go 4-6 months without a waxing??? I don't and I don't know
many other vette owner's that do.

Question 4 : How long will your product stay on the
car?
I would say a month or more if the car is not driven in the rain or is a show
car that is not subject to the weather. If using the beadx it will last
longer.

Just stretch your application of f-1-1-3 over 12 months, not applying
multiple coats in a week. Just applying one coat a month and using the beadx
as often as you like. Lets not forget the clay bar every six months with spot
checks done often.

f-1-1-3 is one coat that will not your socks off.

Question 5: I'm very familiar with silicone products and carnuba that
give tons of shine but use oils that attract the dust like a magnet
(pinnacle wax) , how does your product fair as far as staying clean?

f-1-1-3 is not a paste, its a liquid, there is very little carnuba in my
stuff.
Nothing is going to keep the dust off your car or repel dust.

Certain times of the year the air is filled with more pollen or when you go
to a car show and there are grass fields. I never seen one car with more dust
then the other. I do shows every weekend for the past 6 years.

Bad- It doesn't last long at all
Bad- Silicone IS bad for cars (not really paint though because it is so minor)
Bad- It isn't as good as depth as Zaino
Bad- It contains minor abrasives (VERY minor, but still there)

Good- EXCELLENT Shine. Put it on a 95 Dark Grey Continental, and on a Black Honda Shadow, and it was very shiny. Skipped the clay bar, but will do that next. Also, the BeadX is nice stuff (Just a detailing spray really- like Z6, etc).
Good- It is 1 step. I liked the fact I didn't have to do any steps, and it is very easy to apply. Plus, no powdery residue on weatherstrip or anything.

My results with the product was it was a VERY good product. Easy to apply, with amazing results (2nd best shine I have ever seen- 2nd to Zaino). It will, however, take more applications in the LONG run, meaning that I will have to wax it every 1-2 months (garage kept). Basically, I would use this on my daily driver.

Just my .02

Zaino and Formula 113 User,
Andy

Although I have never used that product or dealt with the man, I have heard bad things (at least about the man) With that being said, I found that email to be informative, honest and straight forward. You use different products for different applications. I am happy with Zaino on my vette but don't wish to do the entire Zaino process to my other cars (which unfortunately are often neglected) I might try this product on them. That's if I ever get around to it cause right now I'm neglecting them again. :D

BTW, please see my signature for my feelings about flame wars.

"Participating in flame wars is akin to running a race in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard."

Not wanting to offend, flame or discredit anyone, but I respectfully submit my thought that this might be a little hurtful for those with ties to the Special Olympics.

Actually i did not notice his signature . my mother taught the hearing impaired for 28 years and I'll have you know that they call them the special olympics because the children that participate are special . Even though they are born into life with tremendous shortcomings they have taken those lemons and made lemonaid . I am most definetly sure that you have never worked with or know any of your supposed "retard" people . That are so much less than human that they are only refered to as some derragatory name that refers to them as second rate . Well let me tell ya . If we all devoted as much effort to making ourselves better and trying to improve and cope and live as these so called "retards" the world would be a h#ll of a lot better . next time you feel the need to generalize ethnic groups or degrade someone look in the mirror and say if my daughter were quadrapolegic , deaf , blind ,..... etc and she had gone through years of arduous therapy and rehabilitaton only to see the culmination of her efforts and yours finally to the point where she maybe won a gold medel or just participated in something that she could not have maybe even a few years before , to see the tears in their eyes and yours to know their hope have finally become reality . only to have it smashed down to earth by someone who dehumanizes and degrades your child and his meaning , and wonderful achievment by calling him a retard. I'm sorry for the length but I'm sick of the ignorance . :smash: :mad :mad :mad

Alright to jump back to the original topic .Our conclusion is indesputible . What mr prisco sells is not even a concourse quality oil based wax(abrasive) . It is a cleaner polish (contains cleaner chemicals and abrasives by his own admission) which contains mostly silicones and some carnuba . It being abrasive and oil based it removes itself with each use and lasts a very short time . It is not a bad product . Not just sand and silicone by any means . But , it is however the same as eagle one , nu finish , zymol liquid (sold at target) , etc.... . It is great if your car is oxidized . But yes it is abrasive just like all those i named before , and double yes it won't last . Save yourself the postage and if you want that kinda stuff pick it up at target . No diss to **** but it's no different than those other products , and just as good . :smash: Also Don't email me Mr. P
thanks :seeya
