Default 1st time Zaino User?

Im going to finally face my fears and try to work on my car myself. My car is a 2004 mellinium yellow and i would like to use zaino. I dont have any scratches and very few swirl marks. Is the zaino product something you have to use a porter cable on, or can it be put on by hand. Im just worried about causing damage rather than fixing the damage. I want my car to look as good as some of the pics i have seen on the forum.

Any advice will be good,

Thanks

The rule of thumb is, if you're happy with the finish, no need to use the PC with swirl remover polishes. Since you say it has minimal swirling and you're happy with the basic finish, you can move straight to the Z5/Z2 twins (activated with ZFX on the first coat), and follow the regimen that is repeated in here about 15 times a day (Z6 in between coats, followed by Z-CS and Z8 at the end). You could also just do AIO followed by the twins, or even straight to Z-CS after AIO. No need to use a machine buffer....works better to just thiiiiinly apply the product, let dry, and wipe it off.

I am lucky that I have a Zaino distributor within about 40 miles of me, and that I sometimes have work up in his neighborhood. So I can pick it up without shipping. If I were you, I would email info@zainobros.com or call the Zaino tech people 732-833-8800 and ask them if there's a nearby dealer to wherever you are in Colorado. These links are from their website, http://www.zainostore.com. Otherwise, just order it online! Simple.

By the way....no fear. It's a no-brainer. Just follow the instructions and use less than you think you should. No...less than that. Wait....less than that, even.

Good luck.

Welcome to the world of the Zaino Zombies ! It's good to have you
There are excellent instructions at http://www.lazaino.com - read , memorize...
Do not use a buffer to apply zaino sealants. Do it with the cotton applicator that comes with the products - it's easier and will avoid wasting product soaking into the buffer pads.
Just order everything from zainostore.com -- superfast shipping. No need to get up off your chair !

Good luck!

Follow the advice here and definitely don't worry.
See if the Z5/Z2 gives you what you are looking for by hand.
If not, then consider a PC 7424. I would highly recommend one to apply ZPC. I used Menzerna IP first, then ZPC.

there are many reasons to use Zaino, the fact that they ship and get it to you quickly when ordering from website is one, their informative website is another

I ordered Zaino on a Friday morning, it was shipped that day, it arrived Tuesday

since your car is a 2004, if you are happy with the condition of the paint now, continue doing whatever was being done, read the info on Zaino website and ask more questions

no, your car does not need power tools or abrasives, although sometimes the owners need them

I also used Zaino today for the first time on my '05 coupe. It was very easy to apply and I used about one dime-sized drop per panel, two coats of Z2 followed by one time around with the Z6 spray.

In addition to what's above, I'd claybar the car before putting anything on it. It isn't hard, doesn't add much time, and gives you the fresh start to put the Zaino products over.

Mike and Todd got me hooked on Zaino. I have a 2000 MY Coupe. They clayed it, Z2-Z6-Z2-Z8. Take a look at a old post and they took pictures. It is still shinning pretty. :thumbs
