Default Ordering Zaino for the first time

I am looking at ordering Zaino for the first time. It seems like i get more of what everyone is using if I just buy things a la carte. or should i just buy a kit?

Am I missing anything?
Will I need to be a polisher?

I know I need distilled water and yes I've read previous post and the zaino website. It is all very overwhelming.

Here's where I am so far:

1. Z-PC Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover $12.95
2. Z-AIO Z-AIO All-in-one $26.95
3. Z-5 Z-5 PRO Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches $16.95
4. Z-2 Z-2 PRO Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes $14.95
5. Z-6 Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray $9.95
6. Z-CS Z-CS Clear Seal $29.95
7. Z-8 Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal $19.95
8. 314 Zaino Custom Polish Applicator $2.50
Total: $134.15

I have used every kind of store bought cleaner there is and I am ready to step it up a notch. My biggest enemy right now is swirl marks on a black c5.

What else do I need?

The soap Z7 is real good stuff also. I would get the kit and add what is missing from your list like ZPC and Z8. Or maybe get the Triplets so you get the CS and kit1 and then just add the ZPC.

I will say you should probably have a ROB for the ZPC although it is not mandatory.

They are all great products including the leather stuff so if you wanted to include the leather stuff get the second bigger kit.

PC 7424 review/long

I have no experience with the AIO, so I can't comment on that.
I would definitely recommend a PC 7424 though. Even the ZPC may not be enough for you to remove the swirls/scratches to your satisfaction. I used Menzerna IP for my first step, then ZPC, then on to the sealants. Z5 will do VERY LITTLE as far as swirls are concerned. You need to start with a good surface and the prep is where all the work is. If your surface is prepared properly, the Z5/Z2 is incredibly easy to remove.
The above review is what I did to prepare my vette this past winter. It's overkill, but looks great!

I originally started with the Zaino kit (#2) then added additional products as I went. The nice thing is that you use so little product and it lasts so long that it really is very economical in the long run.

I have added Z-AIO, Clear Seal, ZPC and Z8. If you have a lot of swirls I would suggest getting a quality buffer like the Porter Cable 7424 or something similar to help remove them.

Default Thanks

Definately a lot of quick feedback. Thanks. All the letters and numbers make the post look like it was listed by an fbi agent.

I definately will just have to bite the bullet and pay for the things suggested. I hope it's as great as everyone says.

I bought everything you mentioned except for the AIO, because I got ZFX (the liquid chemical that catalyzes the bonding to the car and speeds the drying of Z5 and Z2). I believe you don't need AIO if you use the ZFX with Z2 or Z5.

Also, with that order, you can save on the applicator. They should give you at least 1 for free, maybe 2.

That would be A-OK.

For their standard products such as Z2p or Z5p, no you don't. To use ZPC (or any abrasive product) on the vette clear coat for paint correction, I say a big YES.

ZPC will require a Random Orbital Buffer - usually a Porter cable (PC) thus the name ZPC. ZPC is a very mild polish and terrific for a finishing step prior to apply ZAIO, Z5, Z2. You cannot generate enough heat by hand to break down ZPC and get the polishing effect. There are several high quality polishes that we could recommend for removing swirls, but few are effective manually.
