Default When Menzerna IP Isn't Enough

I did 4 passes on my hood and decklid with the Menzerna IP using my PC and an orange pad last weekend. I made significant progress, but I'm still not completely happy (I'll probably never be completely happy). My question is what the next step to take using a PC to help with swirl marks? Thanks for the help.

I agree, if the ROB and IP isn't doing it it is time to step up to a Rotary.

You guys obviously haven't seen me use a rotary.

Thanks for the input. A rotary is something I've been pondering, I'll probably step into one in the near future.

I started with IP too and made moderate progress, then tried Menzerna PO106FF Ceramic Clear Coat Polish (using a Lake Country orange compounding pad on a Porter Cable 7424 R/O). Someone here mentioned to not be afraid to apply some pressure on the P/C while polishing and to work the polish until it started to turn clear, which I did and the results were fantastic. I used speed settings anywhere between 3.5 and 5.0 fwiw.

I've used Blackfire's new polish for CCC and it is simply astounding. I recommend trying this polish before spending the money on a rotary. Work the polish for 4-5 minutes on a 2x2 area. Don't be afraid to apply a little pressure on the PC with a white foam pad. You won't be disappointed.

I also did 3-4 passes on my hood with MIP and an orange pad and expected better results. I was surprised when ZPC which is milder helped out as much as it did. I'd give that a try as it may be some micro marring you are now seeing that the ZPC will take care of. If not, you may have to find someone you trust with a rotary.
