Default can you pack wax and polish into your check-on airline luggage?

I'm flying to San Jose to take delivery of my new Z06 at Boardwalk. I'll be washing it there (I don't want any dealer installed swirls) and then waxing it there. I want to throw my Pinnacle souveran wax and Menzerna polish in my checked baggage (along with some car wash).

Am I allowed to do this? PS - I'm flying Southwest, if that matters.

while we are flattered your taking Souveran with you, I would suggest you check it with luggage. These days even 1/3 ounce of pepsi can trigger a full cavity search.

I really doubt it, but you can always call Southwest and ask them. I still think you would be better off packing it with the checked bags though because even if Southwest says it's OK, the TSA people probably won't let you through to the gate.

I definitely plan on packing it with my checked items.

I just talked to a couple of uneducated monkeys at the TSA who provided no useful information. I couldv'e gotten more information from a crack ho. I'll ttt this to see if anyone else knows whether I can put it in my checked baggage.

No you can not. This is what is allowed:

Small doses of liquid medications permitted

Low blood sugar treatments including glucose gel for diabetics permitted

Clarifications include: aerosols prohibited, solid lipstick and baby food permitted

Hope this helps.

You'll be better off talking to actual Chimpanzees

Unless you can put it in a 3oz container, then no. If it's a direct flight, just check your bag. Or if your salesman is nice enough, just FedEx a small package with your polishes and waxes to the dealership and have them put it aside in their office...

You cannot put it in carry-on luggage brought into the cabin area. You can put it in your checked luggage that is stored in the "belly" of the plane.

I just did this on a trip on US Airways. I also tried to bring my Porter Cable on board with my carry-on luggage and they stopped me and made be go back to the ticket counter and check it in as separate baggage.

I've flown my PC in checked luggage. I have not tried waxes since the fluid debacle.

Checked baggage, under the plane, YES. Inside the airplane NO.

Here is an idea. Mail it to the salesman at the dealership. I'm sure they will accommodate you.
