Making MY pop
OJ, I am going to ask the experts! I am loooking for a procedure / system that will make Millenium Yellow really POP.
I have done the following using a PC:
twice over with Meguires #9 to remove any swirls
once over with Meguires #2 paint conditioner
twice over with Wizards Polish & Sealer
2 coats of Meguires Gold Class.
Don't misunderstand, the car really looks GOOD. I am just looking for expert advice on if there is a better way to get the paint to POP
Thanks!

I dont know that there is going to be a great answer on this. I have tried them all on my car.
Adams
Zaino
Pinnicle soveran
Optimum
Poorboys
and in most light, you can spend 5 min or 5 hours on the car and cant really tell too much of a difference to the normal eye.
now with that being said, I have about 15 hours in polishing with a rotary and PC to get the finish to my satisfaction and its probably the hardest color to work with since its so hard to see the fine scratches in most light.
the Adams and Pinnicle give a really nice wet look but most people on here want durability and thats where the zaino and rejex people come in.
its really all in what your eye sees and wants to see and then ease of use.

A good polishing that takes 5 hours is going to show a world of difference in your paint or on any color. I don't know how you can get the same results in 5 mins.
I understand how it can take more hours then that to really get it perfect. Even using IP and following with something like ZPC with a PC is going to make a world of difference in the way your paint looks. On this PITA corvette clear this process will not remove every defect, but your paint will look much better.
Here are a few shots of a friends MY Z06.
This one is a quickie just used prime and went over it with AJ:
This was more of a full polishing, sorry that the lighting is not the same.
EC/OP mix yellow LC pad 1500
106ff/RMG mix green P2 pad 1400
Z6 wipedown

mine always looks at least like that in any light, but in certain light you can see fine swirls and scratches in it from were its been touched by other people that should have their fingers broken off.
the 5 min thing was a joke more than anything, i can spend a hour or 2 on it or all day and the average person wont tell the diference.
im just saying the MY is allot harder to see defects than most other colors.

I agree, its very hard to see the defects and yes broken figers are allowed in this case.

Oh, also a good quick detailer won't hurt.

Yup - ripen stole the ideas right out of my head.
Meg's #7 is very good.
I probably have a slight preference for 3M Imperial Hand Glaze though.
Just about the best pop I've ever seen was when I used IHG followed by NXT -- now if you know NXT is basically just an oil bath, then you could predict that this combination washed off the car in about 2 days. But it looked great that long.
IHG and Meg's #26 will get you some pop too.
And the Final Inspection quick detailer will help also. You could give those ideas a try.

it sounds like you like the look of a wax, since thats what you are currently using. You can move to a wax with higher wetness and depth like Pinnacle Souveran, or even add a glaze between your polishing and wax as wanted. Also consider using a spray wax booster, to amp up weekly after washing.
With the new paint sealant, Opti-seal, you can actually seal in the look as wanted even after a carnauba. So after the car is done to your wants, then wipe down with Opti-seal and walk away. It should average six months of synthetic protection and capture that look.
