Default How to polish orig. Sawblades

I'm deciding (after much over whether or not to get new rims) to paint the original sawblades black or polish them. I saw what the black looks like in another post. Now, if i were to polish the rims, does anyone have the steps involved in order to do this? strip, polish, etc... How and what products?
Spring is nearly here, help......

Do the search. There is lots of info on how to do it. The only problem is it takes so long to do it.

Already tried the search but couldn't find anything specific. Any ideas on how to narrow down the search?

Try this thread I found from a couple year's back where Cuisinart detailed the process he went through polishing his wheels which turned out great.

From memory, You first buy some aircraft paint stripper and get the clearcoat off. Then starts the sanding. I think you start with 400 grit and work your way up to 1500. Then you use polishing rouge and finally Mother's mag wheel polish. I'd suggest removing the tires.

I'm testing out the paint stripper now. Very slow process with all the curves of the rim. I'm thinking about finding a place to sand-blast them. See how much it cost.

with Strick. I did the same and they came out nice!! I did not remove the tires either. It took me about 5 hours to do each set, front then rear. I stripped two at a time.

Did you take the wheels off the car (I'd assume)?

What was your process and do you have pics you could share of the finals?
Thanks
