Default Just a "little polishing" and some zaino....

99 BMW 740il wifes car, last polished late march with 106ff.

Seven months of mostly QEW washes with Blue MFs from excel detail:

I had used AJ back in April, in late August I applied a few coats of AJT as it seemed that
the AJ was loosing its slickness somewhat.

After a QEW wash:

Process:
Clayed
Polished hood, roof and trunk with EC/OP mix, white LCD VC pad 1500.
Polished entire car with 106ff/RMG mix green P2 pad 1500.
Polished entire car with P085RD green P2 pad 1400.
(I was informed after that 106ff and 085 finish down about the same. I can verify that I could not tell the difference.)
50/50 wipedown
Z6 wipedown
3x Z5pro w/ ZFX
Z6 after coats 1 and 2
Z8 after final coat
Just got new tires a few weeks ago, applied 2x of Z-16.

After polishing:

Here is the hood after EC/ OP then 106ff

Same steps for the trunk:

Finals:

I am pretty sure I will get at least 6 months of protection from zaino. Over the cooler months down here in GA, she will see QEW washes and Z8 about twice a month.

Personally I think you do amazing work. The reflections on the paint are crisp and clear.

Is that single stage or bc/cc? I have ran across random Bimmers that sometimes have singlestage (as late as an 03).

Looks amazing, nice nice work. Wanna come down and do my truck?

Looks great. Although black is my favorite, metallic reds are really starting to look good for my next vehicle.

Nice work. You gotta love that 106FF followed by Zaino.

Pretty much the same process I am using except I use ZPC instead of 085RD as my final polish. Yes, I think the 106ff and 085rd are very close with the 106ff having a little more bite.

Gentlemen, Thank you all for your kind words!

It still takes me some time to achive these results.

Todd, This one has a CC for sure. Which series/color were single stage?

WhiteDiamond, This color does get "washed out" in the direct sun, but I guess most darker colors do.

Frank, I've had this small stash of 085 for a while, but this is the first time that I have used it. It seems to have a nice long working time.

I think I am going to order some more ZPC.

She looks great Bryan. Everything you touch turns out nice.
Even before you polished it it looked so much better than my truck.
I gotta get in gear.
