Default Zaino followed by Pinnachle anyone?

I had recently heard of a technique in which, after claying the finish, applying a few coats of either Z2 or Z5 (pros) followed by Pinnachle Souverain for the deepest wettest shine.

Got 2 questions:
Has anyone tried this?
and, What do you use for the QD on the show site? (I figure Z6 won't stick over the wax)

Thanks,
Dan

I have tried it with minimal difference, but give it a shot if you want. You can use most any QD out there. I like Clearkote Quikshine over Souveran.

I have tried it and found Z8 over Zaino to be better. If I did do this I would use Crystal Mist over the PS.

I already use the Z6 first (to improve spreadability), and then between coats and the Z8 at shows when appropriate. Just was told that there was an even better set up.

I'm ready for the urinating contest to begin.

You are doing exactly what you should be doing.

I want to see if there is an even better way, though. It's not perfect, but let's see if a 9.9 will do.

You are like me, always looking to get that little extra edge.

and found that it streaked over Z2 Pro (but not Z5 - haven't tried it over Z5 Pro yet). Wasn't worth it IMO.

DD, I have tried it on several dark cars, as have several customers of ours with some success, most have told us that they get streaking in the hot months. You may want to try it before Peddlers Village, it will be cool enough then.

If you like the look of pinnacle, I would use that by itself as it was intended. You kind of defeat the purpose of using zaino by putting a product like that over it.

I totally agree. Zaino is a system. All the Zaino products are designed to work together to produce a great result, they weren't designed or intended to be used as a base coat for another products top coat.

Frank,
Won't be going to Smithville again. Too much blowing dusty sand. Messed up some chrome last year, and only stayed less than an hour. Was a really nice drive though. Will seriously try to get to Peddler's Village in Lahaska 10/14 if the weather is good.

I was wondering when Peddlers Village was, thanks. Yes Smithville can get a little dirty sometimes with the leaves and pine needles in the parking lots and if you are real lucky you will get dumped on by sap. Are you going to OC NJ this Sunday?

Sorry for the hijack guys. Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion on wax and sealant.
