Default What are you using on the dash?

Haven't put anything on my dash and door panels except water so far. They look great but I'm sure someone has something that's good for them. Don't want to change the looks, just maybe protect them a little.

The dash expert that repaired a gash in my dash recommended nothing but a damp rag for the dash. I also use the damp rag on the doors. If I get scuff marks on the doors, I use Mr. Clean's magic Eraser from the grocery store detergent aisle. It is slightly abrasive, but 2 or 3 light swipes remove any scuff mark.

McGuires makes an Interior quik detailer that cleans great, smells great, and leaves no residue....doesn't even change the sheen of the dash or door panels, but it says it protects it and makes it dust resistant. You can also use it on all electronics and even GLASS, so that tells you it doesn't leave a residue! So far I like it alot!!

You want to protect it from UV rays.. I have used and still do suntan OIL with A high SP number, I found a SP 30. Lotion doesn't work BTW. Oil leaves alittle shiney but only for a couple of hours. Smell good too. I've used it for years and never had a cracked or deteriorated dash, (or other interior parts.

303 Protectant offers a nice matte sheen, I prefer Poorboys Natural Shine as UV protection with very natural looks. Megs also makes a nice Quik Interior Detailer but alas no UV protection.

I use Eagle-1 Nano Protectant. I really like the look it leaves. Not as shiny as some of the others but better than plain water (to me).

I'm hooked on Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner...use a microfiber towel. I swear it not only cleans a dash great, but it keeps dust off for an extended period of time! The stuff looks like water and has no odor, so I may just be getting ripped off , but I'll keep buying it!

Another vote for 303. I like it because it is non-greasy feeling compared to ArmorAll. And you can use on the leather seats also. ArmorAll would get all over your clothes...

The IP pad material already has ultraviolet inhibitors in it. Just clean with water.

I've always used their wipes on the dash, door panels, seats, the plastic under the hood and the tires - -then wipe everything with a soft cloth.

Good stuff!

I was actually suprised how well it worked the first time I used it on one of my cars.

I switched from Armor All, which I used on my C5. The only disappointment I had with Meguires was, I felt each wipe sheet was too dry - not enough cleaning solution on each wipe. I was using twice as many wipes compared to Armor All.
