I finished up late last night so I didn't get any pictures in good lighting, however, these came out pretty cool. The truck came out so deep and wet that its almost like the car is translucent in the pictures, seeming to fade into the background then return... I just thought these came out pretty cool....
The truck was rough to begin with (owner ran it through a wash several times and used to use a shop brush on it). It was badly swirled and scratched. To make matters worse, my Xenon light failed on me, and it was cloudy. I first did a pass of Meguiars #80 on a rotary, followed by #80 on a PC. Just then the sun broke out, so I pulled outside and swirls galore (after buffing for 3 hours already...). So it was back to the drawing board (I didn't feel comfortable returing the car back to the owner in that condition, even though he was happy with the improvement).
So it was back inside, just to have the power go out for about 45 minutes... With the power back on, it was time to get to work...
Process was...
Menzerna IP on a Lake Country orange pad for 2 passes via rotary at 1800 and 1500 RPM on some body panels...
Meguiars #83 on a Megs 8006 pad for 1 pass via rotary at 1500 RPM on the other body panels..
Meguiars #80 on a Megs 8006 pad for 1 pass via PC @ speed 5
Meguiars #7 via hand
Meguiars #21 via hand
